EDIT: Longevity is actually closer to 7hours; by the end, it's a gentle vanilla skin scent (similar to the end of Ellen Tracy Bronze, actually), Very pleasant at every phase, definitely a keeper. As it develops, the sandalwood, musk and cinnamon come out and create a light, incense-like smell that is almost an amber. This is probably the closest thing I have to a "signature scent" because it smells nice on me, it's inexpensive but doesn't smell like it, and I find it doesn't offend noses. The business did well enough, but it didn’t actually boom until he hired the young college graduate Linda Allard in 1962.

I love this scent sooo much it reminds me a bit of burberry brit edp without the lime and citrus because i thought what was the pear was actually the peach in this fragrance so not an exact dupe but you can smell some similarities.After a few hours I can say that Ellen reminds me of JPG Ma Dame a lot, Ellen is smoother and with a little bit more flowernotes.

Very well balanced despite the 800 notes, and just a very pleasant, everyday scent for anyone who wants something more mature but not outright elderly. I can pick out so many of the different notes and somehow they all seem to mingle beautifully on my skin. I love wearing it when I am in the office since it doesn't scream "I AM WEARING PERFUME, HEAR ME ROAR! All I smelled was cedar (which I'm finding I really do not like at all) and it was too strong/pungent an odor for me.This brand is not about catwalk couture but more about the refined day-to-day gear for the working woman who wants to slay that boardroom with style.

If you do not care for the scent of black licorice/anise, you most likely will not care for this, as there is a strong back note of it. I feel confident, strong but still feminine, like having someone nice hold your hand just because they want to. A design whiz who took the reins in the ’60s and transformed the brand into a fashion go-to for working women.
