Description

Tetrohydrocurcumin is derived from turmeric and helps in the fading of dark skin. A concentration of 0.25 % is considered to be potent as 4% of hydroquinone in a study. Trust us, if something is used for more than 100 years in cosmeticproducts, it hasadvantages. Chemically speaking, cosmetic grade mineral oil is a complex mixture ofhighly refined saturated hydrocarbons with C15-50 chain length. It is not merely a "by-product" but rather a specifically isolated part of petroleum that is very pure and inert.

Badmouthing mineral oil is a favorite sport of many, it is a cheap material and being connected to petrolatum makes it fairly easy to demonize. However, Biluma cream or for that matter any over-the-counter skin lightening cream might not help the stubborn cases of dark patches. You should consult a dermatologist in such cases. The cream should not be used for more than 6 months without the supervision of a doctor. Biluma cream has 6 potent skin-whitening ingredients, namely Kojic Acid Dipalmitate, Arbutin, Tocopherol or Vitamin E, Mulberry extracts, Liquorice, Tetrohydrocurcumin, and Artocarpus extract (Oxyreservetol 95%). Read how these ingredients help in reducing pigmentation in the next section. The pros of mineral oilcan be interpreted as cons if we look at them from another perspective. Not penetrating the skin but mostly just sitting on top of it and not containing biologically active components, like nice fatty acids and vitamins meanthat mineral oil does not "nourish" the skin in the way plant oils do. Mineral oil doesnot give the skin any extra goodness, it is simply a non-irritating moisturizer working mainly by occlusivity. Liquorice has glabridin that prevents pigmentation by UVB rays and has an anti-inflammatory effect.Kojic Acid Dipalmitate is derived from a fungus and is used at a concentration varying from 1 to 4%. It benefits patients who are not responding to Hydroquinone, prescribed by a dermatologist because both are tyrosinase inhibitors (an enzyme used to synthesise melanin pigment). While it is true that industrial grade mineral oil contains carcinogenic components (so-calledpolycyclic compounds), these are completely removed from cosmetic and food grade mineral oil and there is no scientific data showing that the pure, cosmetic grade version is carcinogenic. Biluma Advance Skin Brightening Lotion gives you visibly clear and glowing skin with natural brightening ingredients in just three weeks. There is just one catch regarding glabridin and licorice: the amount of glabridin in commercial licorice extracts can vary a lot. We have seen extracts with only 4% glabridin as well as 40% glabridin. The latter one is a very-very expensive ingredient, so if you are after the depigmenting properties try to choose a product that boasts its high-quality licorice extract. However, Biluma cream or, for that matter, any over-the-counter skin lightening cream might not help the stubborn cases of dark patches. Biluma cream side effects
