Scott, Jonathan. The Woman in the Wilderness. (Though a novel, notes support the historical events and separate them from created or imagined events. Evokes the context of Kelpius' life in a clear and meaningful way.)

The book was interesting but at times felt repetitive. I guess that's what life is like in the wilderness. Camping, hunting, cooking, eating and walking. Wild at Heart' is a better book than 'Woman in the Wilderness' (by the same author), both because of its content, and great improvement in its quality of writing (which may be attributed to the author getting better at English, or the skills of a much better editor). She looks at Peter: “We met one guy – do you remember him? He said, ‘I can’t wait for my children to be old enough to leave the house.’ And I said, ‘Oh, how old are they?’ And he said, ‘Three and five.’” There was a pilot who told her he had recurring fantasies of pushing his wife out of his helicopter. Peter’s theory is, “Modern civilisation, the suburban life just doesn’t suit men’s nature. It leaves men feeling constantly unchallenged. I’d say a third of the population are seriously unhappy.” He finds it startling that, with the advances in birth control, the majority of women still choose to have children. “I’ve met so many interesting women in their 20s, then along comes 30 and they succumb to the pressure. You think: ‘Why did you do nothing else with your life?’” Lisette Brisson, aka One Woman’s Wilderness, shows real-life events and incidents to her audience. Making butter at home, feeding her dogs, and knitting are the glimpse she shares with her audience: no cuts, no faking things, only sweet moments of her life in the woods. A different lifestyle: One Woman’s Wilderness But exclude the courtyard outside the temple. Do not measure it, because it has been given over to the nations, and they will trample the holy city for 42 months.

The video starts with delightful music with great scenarios of her beautiful cabin, fireplace, and more fascinating things. We can also see her white dog beside her. The entire video is a mixture of soothing music, scenarios of hills, snow, trees, her pet family, and the story of the video. Playing in the rain: And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent. Thank God, through the Holy Spirit our eyes, ears, and minds are opened, providing the believer with a spiritual awareness and understanding that he cannot find in anything or any place in this world, to keep him safe, that only by being 'hid in Christ Jesus' – living by faith in the Word of God - the living soul finds protection. The closer we draw in spirit and truth to our heavenly Father, the more we are strengthened in our resolve to remain firm in our conviction that He is our Protector and Savior – Rom.8:38-39. So what about the 3-1/2 times of nourishment? I wonder if the angel used the phrase “3-1/2 times” rather than 1260 days as he did in verse 6, because two different time periods were meant. I know that traditionally the church has held that all the references in Scripture of 3-1/2 times, 42 months, and 1260 days refer to the same time period. But what if they don’t? Consider this: The woman fled into the wilderness to a place prepared for her by God, where she might be taken care of for 1,260 days.

Can anyone tell me where I could find the sermon that was mentioned earlier this week, by Pastor Nembhard, titled Matrix Unplugged? Is it online?I greatly appreciate the prophetic exegesis which helps us see that our heavenly Father always stands true to His Word, and providing His people a safe place in the ‘wilderness’. I can see that His people’s 'place' has and always will be in some type of ‘wilderness’ during one's lifetime. All believers are travelers in a strange land, not shielded or protected from that which also tempts those yet seeking safe harbor, or those who are unaware of the pitfalls and snares in life. (The Pilgrim's Progress) Then the woman fled into the wilderness, where she has a place prepared by God, that they should feed her there one thousand two hundred and sixty days. And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that there they may nourish her a thousand two hundred and threescore days. That was the last thing I wanted to do. Nothing meant boredom, the dreaded void, horrible emptiness. Nothing was the unknown and I had discovered I was afraid of it - this was the fear I would have to face in the many weeks to come. But the woman was given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness to her place, where she is nourished for a time and times and half a time, from the presence of the serpent. The Revelation 12:5 says that this woman gives birth to a male child, who is destined to rule the world with a rod of iron. But before he can do that, he is taken to God’s throne in heaven. For us as Christians, this male child is obviously Jesus. So the woman must be Mary, the mother of Jesus. Easy! One Woman’s Wilderness is not only about the woods and peace; it is also about her bad days. It is very pleasant to see the plethora of emotions, conditions, and beautiful mornings leading to stormy evenings or vice versa. She is also making it possible for those who are not able to enjoy nature due to some reasons to feel refreshed through her content by just taking out 8 to 10 minutes in a day. When they do bump into another person in the wild it’s usually a hunter, and always a man. She thinks that perhaps women have lost their connection with nature, “even more than men. And also,” she adds, passionately, “why do women behave so weakly, physically? As in, ‘I can’t lift that,’ ‘I can’t shit outside,’ ‘I can’t have my period in the bush.’” She thinks it’s a shame women are missing out. She has been living in the woods for six years now in 820 square feet cabin where she makes most of her videos. and the woman fled into the Desert, there to be cared for, for 1,260 days, in a place which God had prepared for her. The Catholic Church teaches that Mary never sinned, never had sex with Joseph (even after they married), never died, and that she is now the "Queen of Heaven”. (See Jeremiah 7:8, to learn what God thinks about this title!) Not one of these claims about Mary is taught in the Bible, but they have grown out of Catholic tradition. This book is utterly captivating and such an inspirational story of a young woman in the wilderness. I would thoroughly recommend to all. How beautiful is their story, how human, or maybe even more than human: people living with and in nature, in connection with the earth and each other, in contrast to so many human beings on our planet. Isn’t this a life many people would want to live? I know I would.Pass the WORD Services. "A Short, Easy and Comprehensive Method of Prayer: Johannes Kelpius [1673 - 1708] On-line Manuscript". Passtheword.org . Retrieved 2014-08-20. As an eagle stirs up its nest and hovers over its young, He spread His wings to catch them and carried them on His pinions. One thing that strikes me is that the author is not spirutual or believes in a higher being esp after experiencing all that natural beauty. Kelpius was born Johann Kelp in 1667, [5] [a] near the town of Schäßburg, Transylvania (modern–day Sighişoara, Romania) and attended the University of Altdorf, near Nuremberg, where his name was Latinized to Johannes Kelpius according to the custom of scholars of his days. [6] By the age of 22 he had taken a master's degree in theology and published several works, including one in collaboration with Johannes Fabricius. At the university he had been drawn to Pietism, initially a reaction against the formalism of orthodox Lutheranism, but a term that sometimes included various esoteric or heretical Christian ideas. He became a follower of Johann Jacob Zimmermann, a mathematician, astronomer, and cleric, whose pastoral position had ended in 1685 due to his prediction of the imminent advent of a heavenly kingdom, as well as his criticism of the state church. Zimmermann was himself attached to the ideas of the mystic Jakob Böhme. After Zimmerman's sudden death, shortly before the group's departure for the New World, Kelpius became the group's magister or leader.
