Description

The power to start boiler then comes from cylinder stat if HW is involved or the valves orange wire if HW not involved. We provide a home delivery service through a number of leading courier agencies. Delivery charges are determined by how fragile, size and weight of the product(s) being delivered as follows:

A wire from this terminal leads to the grey, which drives the motor forward to CH. While doing this a second micro switch allows power out of the valves orange wire to re start the boiler. Wire (1) comes from the HW ON terminal, (goes via junction box) to cylinder stat, then across the stat, then from cylinder stat (via junction box ) to boiler/pump.As suspected, when calling for CH there is no live supply to the boiler.. (This is with the HSA3 wiring still disconnected)

A few weeks ago, I had some issues with my heating. The fault was found to be a damaged cable in the Kitchen wall, which was repaired / replaced. At the same time I found the 3-way valve in the airing cupboard to be leaking when set for heating. For the last few weeks I have had the 3way valve actuator wiring disconnected and have just been using the system for hot water. Has my actuator failed, when in hw mode it is in midway position hw and heating. when i turn hw off it stays in that postion and actuator body feels hot all the time. If you continue, you will be logged-out of your Danfoss Store and directed to the Store you have selected. Note the CH and HW will now share the flow of water until one side becomes satisfied (usually HW) when the valve is then supposed to move to CH only.Going to use the HSA3 to replace the Sunvic SD2701. Am I correct to assume that the HSA3 Brown/white wire replaces the White wire in the SD2701. Blue, Grey, orange remain the same? Hi a Engineer has fitted a Actevator Valve. Danfoss, HSA3. the problem is,he does Not know the Wiring, which wire goes where? I had a faulty actuator which I have now replaced, however I have lost the original wiring diagram that I made when removing the old unit from the junction box in the airing cupboard.

To do this the power lost from the white wire is replaced with power on the grey wire (micro switch breaks white and makes grey) When the system is off, the actuator is returning to CH only too.. I'm sure it used to return to HW only ? There are a number of reasons as to why a customer may want or need to return a product. This is a rare situation, however, if this does happen our objective is to make the process as efficient and easy as possible. The Danfoss port "H" motorised valve series, which includes the HSA3 Actuator, is suitable for use with both copper and iron pipes. The motor replacement head for the HS3 Valve bodies is the Danfoss HSA3 Actuator. By purchasing the actuator, you may just swap out the head of the device rather than having to replace the entire thing.

Wiring is not my strong point. A customer with an open vented boiler has hot water but no heating. I suspect the danfoss 3 port valve. There are 4 wires: orange (switched live), grey (hot water off), brown & white (heating on) and blue (neutral). It may be that HW is not on so the grey would not become live and this is where the second source comes in. Continue to save even more money by taking advantage of the Bathrooms and Showers Direct Customer Loyalty Programme. I was expecting the orange to become live once the valve had moved to the heating position but that’s not the case. It does become live and fire the boiler when hot water is selected.

Wire (2) comes from the CH ON terminal, (goes via junction box) to the input side of the room stat, From the output side of room stat (goes via junction box ) to the white wire of valve. Today I finally got round to replacing the 3-way valve body and put a new (but not tested) actuator head on as the old one had visible signs of water damage. the unit that I have is considerably ''old'' - my question is has the model changed in anyway or should it be compatible to the unit I have marked only as HSA3? My question is, does the HSA3 electrical wiring need to be connected in the junction box to complete the circuit for the CH ?
