Received these today only and am amazed by these IEMs though these are yet to burn in. Hope they get better with time. The A4000 take a more fluid approach to the high end than they do a shimmery gloss. They take more advantage of the 16k range than the 8k range, which helps them avoid a metallic character. They’re perhaps more middle of the road on brightness; I’ve heard headphones twice as dark and twice as bright. But most will find them to be on the brighter side, with a full, smooth sound far from any shrillness. I listened to the serene guitar ballad “Journey” by Sipprell and her vocals flowed beautifully on the A4000s high response. They have a pleasantly pure, gentle presence. The treble isn’t ultra-refined either. Listen for a while and both the mids and treble start to sound a little basic in the context of the Final E4000s’ overall sound. There isn’t quite the transparency and insight you’d expect from a class-leading earphone. Verdict Final Audio has set a solid standard in terms of their soundstages go, but both the A3000 and A4000 have really impressed me. When I first heard the A3000 I didn’t think it could get any better, but the A4000 came and really muddied the waters. Both of these earphones have an equal amount of width, each expanding to about shoulder length, but the A4000 goes a lot deeper with its imaging and layering. The placement of each sound element is a lot more articulate and plays to a more immersive, holographic stereo image. Instruments and effects play over each other a lot more clearly than of the A3000, resonating with more of an exterior headspace. The A3000 still has one of the better stages for its price, but for only a little more you’ll be hearing something really special with the A4000.

Final Audio A4000 Review - Major HiFi

I found this image about the GOXLR DAC but I don’t know if this is detailed enough to know whether or not it will allow the A4000 to shine. I’ve heard the ES100 doesn’t do them justice, and I can’t imagine the GOXLRs DAC will be much better. Driveability: I know I need to use the 4.4 port on my dongle immediately. The A4000 does shine with more power. Furthermore, Final eartips are very nicely designed, providing a high level of sound isolation, so ambient noise with A4000 or A3000 was never a problem. After the Upper Midrange, we’ve got the Treble region between 6kHz and 8 kHz, and this is where things start to Aging refers to the phenomenon whereby the sound produced by the earphones changes over time as they are used. There is a small driver unit – what could be called a speaker – inside the earphones; a diaphragm of extremely thin film is attached to this using a coil and an adhesive agent. With aural signals, the diaphragm moves in micronic increments while the coil moves, giving off sound. While it can’t be proven, we believe that in this situation, the adhesive section may possibly influence these infinitesimal movements. Using the product over a set period of time, the diaphragm moves more easily, and sound quality approaches the original design intent. This product has a small aperture, and so an extended period of time is necessary for changes through aging to become indecipherable. In general, if the product is used in a normal way over a period of 150 ~ 200 hours, it should feel that sound has become more subtle. A more favorable outcome can be obtained through aging of the product by listening to the music you normally listen to at a volume you usually listen at, rather than expediting aging through very high volumes or aging through noise. While not an accurate metaphor, when you make unnecessary movements to break in a pair of shoes, you’re bound to cause wrinkles different to those that occur when you walk normally. In the same way, rather than having the diaphragm move unnecessarily, it is better to think that it is more natural to break it in in the environment in which it is used. All products sold on Headphone Zone carry a GST compliant invoice and all products sold include an 18% GST. In short, this iem cooks the A4000 in almost every way I see, with my library. Timbre was way more accurate on the A4000. The stage, although not as deep, but way wider and more holographic. Bass is noticeably thumpier with better texture, although A4000’s bass have faster transient. Female vocal sounds more lively and correct compare to A4000. Instruments like hihats and cymbal strike sounds straight up better than the A4000 due to better sustain and decay, which also means I observe more micro details on the Oxygen.

With IEMs, I always do the usual burn-in of about 50 hours; it’s not that without this the IEMs do not sound right, but rather that the burn-in helps them to reach their full potential. Now, much more important than the technical burn-in, I consider the so-called phycological burn-in, which helps the listener to get acquainted with the IEM; in that sense, the phycological burn-in does not actually have a limit, and the more you listen the better you get to know the IEM. Guess what? I was wrong in both! Just a few months ago, Final presented A4000 and A3000, two lower, actually way too lower, value IEMs than A8000. While, on April 26, 2021, Final launched SHICHIKU.KANGEN, which is the next big thing after A8000. Typically, SHICHIKU.KANGEN belongs to the Collaboration series, because it was developed in collaboration with the DITA Audio company; in reality though, it is of the same breed as A8000, at least in regard to its construction, and it costs almost 50% more than the latter. The way to make a PET diaphragm is to have a mold with cavities (holes), to which you insert the PET material and press the mold to create one diaphragm for each cavity. Obviously, more cavities means more diaphragms with every pressing; however, as always, there is a catch. The PET material is inserted to the mold from a small number of gates in the boundary of the mold, and it is subsequently channeled from one cavity to the next; as a result of this, cavities closer to a gate accept stronger pressure than cavities further away from a gate. This is the main reason behind a consistency issue between the diaphragms. For f-CORE DU, the number of cavities was reduced to 33% (!) of what a regular mold has; the result is diaphragms of high consistency, but the time needed to make the same number of diaphragms is three times as much. The notch is there to ensure you connect the cable with the right polarity, particularly as it doesn't have pre-formed earhooks. Almost clinical and perfect in their sound reproduction at the cost of losing some musicality and sounding sterile at timesVolume scaling: Medium to medium high volume. My ears would be ringing from that boosted 4-10k region before I reach my enjoyable level of bass. listening on monitors or headphones. But if you’re listening on a laptop or a phone, there’s no way you will hear These have the largest sound stage I ever heard in a IEM, None of the IEM's I owned in the past was this large. I def hear it being projected outside of my head in compression to my er2SE's which are inside my head. In a song with a lot of atmosphere it felt like I was surrounded by the notes of the pads and the other sounds if that make sense, I not sure how to explain it. Do A4000 and A3000 have weaknesses? Don’t we all have? One could criticize the housing, which is ABS resin, the cable that is 2-Pin OFC cable, and probably a couple of other things. However, you forget all of these as soon as you put A4000 or A3000 in your ears, and you realize that you have two all-rounders with class leading performance, with the noted differences between them, at a fraction of what they should cost. I bet that if you try them, you will thank me for it! They are instantly charming too – their sonic quality is obvious within a few seconds, which is not something you can say about most wireless alternatives anywhere near this price. The Final E4000s deliver deep bass beats with power and precision and, despite being aimed at self-professed sound quality fans, they don’t sound at all clinical.
