Go to “TF card” folder and drag the three subfolders (Emu, miyoo, and RetroArch) into the root of your card, and replace any existing files when prompted (this part is optional). The menu system looks similar to the original but simplified with just one option for emulators and another for included apps.

The Little Handheld That Can!

You can exit the game and emulator by pressing B once to get to the RetroArch Main Menu, then choose Quit RetroArch to return to the Miyoo Mini+ Menu. Useful software for the Miyoo Mini Plus Do not delete any files or folders that are already on the micro SD card as they are all required for the OS.

The Game Menu has individual emulator applications and covers systems including Arcade, Mega Drive/Genesis, Master System, Neo Geo, PC Engine and PlayStation. The screen looks absolutely gorgeous and really shows on the more colourful games of yesteryear. The viewing angles are very good and I must admit I have not had any problems at all with the screen or the device as a whole. MiniUI is a lightweight launcher that is focused on simplicity, and works on both the Miyoo Mini and Miyoo Mini Plus. As expected, the installation of MiniUI is simple. Note that the Miyoo Mini firmware upgrade is not required for MiniUI. Whilst the Miyoo Mini Plusis a fantastic device out of the box, it is made even better when you install OnionOS. As mentioned, I was disappointed that there’s no Bluetooth, especially seems it has a Wi-Fi chip. As far as I am aware most if not all Wi-Fi chips also have a Bluetooth module in them. Hopefully this is something that can be enabled via a software update in the near future.
