Bentley does such a great job on these fragrances that I wish other big names would take note and learn how to create LASTING and great smelling fragrances.
The extraordinary design language of the British luxury saloon cars is echoed in the Bentley for Men and Bentley for Men Intense bottles: the lines and curves of a Bentley have been transposed into the rounded form of the flask. It opens powdery then sweet and fruity and the drydown still has that powdery scent with a touch of amber woodiness. However, this doesn't last all that long, and the dry-down becomes rather chemical again, very artificial smelling. Our luxury fragrances for men capture the essence and embody the spirit of Bentley cars, with each bottle featuring the Bentley logo and distinctive knurling. Performance was a little disappointing unfortunately, lasted about 5-6 hours on skin with decent projection for the first 90 mins or so (I am not going nose blind to it).I'm sure sure lots of you will be curious about this as Bentley release good value fragrances and this one looks interesting. I suppose I gained that bet because I found BBE to be quite an above average fragrance since the first whiff. I have found though, as this dries-down, it starts to resemble Versace Dylan Blue and the like much more. I'm not one for knowing much about flowers, as I am a burly tough Scotsman (who proudly wears a kilt), and the smells of well-aged fine whiskey are more my forte, but the smell of this toilet water is quite acceptable.
It's violet and powdery and a little sweet and floral but there is an earthiness to it that personally stops me loving it. Remember in the 90s and early 2000s the deodorant that was a gel and when you turned the nozzle it came through like a grid? Perfumes with natural ingredients often smell different in batches based on the source of the ingredients, while synthetic ingredients usually have consistency in their smell and lasts longer. This is the brightest and sweetest fragrance compared to the other Lalique/Bentley fragrances I own. More by way of, "this is a sophisticated, layered fragrance that smells woody and smoky with some sweetness at the top" type of feels.To me this is a cross between Bleu De Chanel and Versace Dylan Blue with a slight undertone of Dior Fahrenheit. Bentley may be one of this little elite, because Bentley succeeds in captivating with outstanding product quality and being a daily companion of the modern man. Bentley launched Bentley for Men Black Edition Eau de Parfum in 2018 as a woody spicy fragrance for men. This is very well done, but I'm not surprised because Lalique owns this brand and Lalique makes excellent juice!
Middle notes - The heart of the fragrance comes out after a couple of minutes when the head of the scent fades away. Also it is very versatile for everyday use or any season any occasion with dependable lasting power. It definite leans towards the fresh side of things, but the most noticeable notes aren't necessarily the ones found in popular blue fragrances. It smells like Gentelmen Only but in first two minutes then their both go on their own seperate way. Perfumes are often designed with top, middle and base notes, and designed to smell different based on the time after application.
