Our Calypso Once A Day range is rigorously tested to ensure that even after 8 hours of wear, it still offers the SPF on the label. The star rating system was designed by Boots (retailer) and is not recognised as industry standard, nor is it regulated. I've never been brave enough to try using this for the full day while on holiday in sweltering hot sun and have applied sun cream after 6 hours to be on the safe side. That sounds horrible Gary, all I can say is no matter how hot it's got in Egypt that I've never sweated so much the lotion has ran down into my eyes.

Hi, I see your original post was from a couple of years ago but thought I'd reply in case anyone else was looking in and wondering. I used the factor 30 in Colombia and it did exactly as advertised - provided non-greasy all day protection from one application. You will need to dry your skin before reapplying sunscreen, unless you’re using our Calypso Dry Oil Wet Skin Spray.

I used the factor 20 for a trip to Greece in April and I didn't burn and ended up with a lovely tan - I've found my preferred brand of sunscreen and can't see that I'll change any time soon!
