About this deal

For best results, apply Dermatix Ultra twice daily for 3 months on minor scars, and 6 to 9 months on burn scars or surgical scars. Dermatix Scar Reduction Silicone Gel has performed well in tests which have shown it will soften, smooth and flatten down the scar tissue which has formed at the site of the injury. Dermatix Scar Reduction Silicone Gel uses a combination of silicon dioxide and polysiloxanes to treat the scar tissue and improve its appearance. For scars older (as old as 2 years), it is advisable to continue using for longer until the positive effects stop being seen.

It is rare for Dermatix Gel to cause side effects, however, if you develop any redness or irritation on or around the application site you should stop using this product. In the case of a 5-year-old child with extensive facial burns treated with wound debridement, xenograft, and Dermatix Ultra Kids silicone gel, scarring was unnoticeable at 60 days of follow-up. Improvement in facial scarring in a 45-year-old man following 2 sessions of laser therapy and 3 months of Dermatix Ultra silicone gel treatment (case 4).Unfortunately we are no longer able to send to France, Germany, Norway, Slovakia or Sweden due to customs regulations. Newborn child with scarring following surgery for bilateral complete cleft lip and palate treated with botulinum toxin injection and 6-month Dermatix Ultra Kids silicone gel (case 7). It is safe to use on different kinds of scars, including big and small ones, keloid scars, scars on the face, neck, and all other body parts, linear scars (post-operative), scars from breast surgery, liposuction, cosmetic surgery, skin tumour surgery and burns. If Dermatix has not dried within 4-5 minutes you have used too much, remove the excess and allow the drying process to continue. Dermatix scar treatment gel is easily applied to all areas of the skin, including the face, joints and flexures, and dries quickly to form an invisible "sheet".

In contrast, topical silicone sheeting can be difficult to apply to scars in some areas, such as joints, and patient compliance can be reduced for visible scars. A specialist in burns and plastic surgery recommended starting treatment as early as possible in patients with burn wounds, within 7 days after the injury, and continuation for 3 months. If your symptoms get worse or do not disappear after a couple of days, speak to your doctor or medical professional to get their advice.

Second, expert opinion, generated from a survey of clinicians experienced in the management of scars, supports its use in the management of scars and emphasises the importance of starting treatment early for the prevention of abnormal scarring. Apply a very thin coat of Dermatix Gel to the scar as soon after healing as possible, and rub it in gently. Dermatix® should not be applied to open or fresh wounds, placed in contact with mucous membranes or too close to the eyes. Dermatix Gel 15gDermatix is a Topical Silicone Gel that is transparent, self-drying and maintains the skin's moisture balance, aiding the management of scarred skin surfaces resulting from surgery, burns and other injuries. Dermatix is used for the management of scars after the wound has healed and the skin surface is intact, and in the prevention of scar development in the form of keloids and hypertrophic scars resulting from general surgical procedures, trauma wounds and burns.
