TalkTalk YouView DN372T Set Top Box - 320GB PVR Freeview+ HD Digital Recorder

We would not disable or do anything to the box remotely to stop it working, it has just unfortunately developed a fault as it nears the end of it's working life cycle. I performed the Maintenance Mode procedure (delete recordings) but the problem has reoccurred with a fresh recording made today. However, we played a DVD from the Playstation for the first time last week and the TV was absolutely clear.

It's worth noting that in addition to the wrong info from CS, they did not do a remote test either or suggest switching things off and on, or checking connections, if that is what caused it.This previous actual LIE by TalkTalk was eventually sorted out after weeks chasing, so I am dubious of anything TT state for this and many other instances of "inaccuracies". I'm having no issues streaming any other video, and it doesn't randomly restart any other time, only when I'm watching Sky Go on PS4. I've just unplugged my previous box which was working perfectly regarding my aerial channels and players and plugged my new box in which arrived today and the box can't tune in any channels. While this discrepancy is rather large, it is not quite large enough to rule out the possibility of it being due random chance.

I would like some feedback as to whether the user experience is as good with TalkTalk Plus TV (I do quite like the Sky TV Box, and it works well) - It is quite a big decision if I am not fully happy with it - considering the length of a new contract. The box has been replaced and I'm still with TalkTalk so there's no big problem or urgency here; My question is more out of curiosity. So can TalkTalk send another DN372T, all be it used if need be but working if the matter was due to a fault and not ending support. If you haven’t pressed the buttons together by the time “YouView Waking Up” is displayed, or you see the “YouView please wait…” message then try again. Yes I have known for a long time prior to this matter arising that TT have not supplied this model DN372T for some time.

If I switch the TV off (to stand-by), but leave the box (DN372T) on, half an hour later the TV will switch on.
