I don't think this resembles Lost Cherry except in the vanilla and nut notes, and there are endless frags with those notes that don't open smelling to me like something a convict made in the toilet. Best part of this frag is the dry down which occurs after 2mins where it develops into a skin scent with no projection. Those almonds help balance and ground the sweet yet tart medicinal scent of cherry in perfumery with a bitter, earthy and slightly nutty profile.

Update 10/31/23: After storing for awhile, this gets a lot sweeter, and the near-cinnamon/tobacco-flower tones from tonka come more forward in a way that gives me reminders of Back to Black By Kilian as well. This smells more like a woodburning fireplace in the next room from where you are eating your slice of Black Forest cake.I’ve had mine for a few weeks macerating but I am not getting much cherry at all … which is why I bought it . A warm, flattering perfume with soft amber and woods and soft spiciness, with the saffron notes catching the eye. I find this feminine but have seen many reviewers who love and uses this being guys as well so it's probably unisex to some. Don't judge them upon arrival, you need to give them time and they can change to something completely different to what you initially smelled.

My son and I both are suckers for Lost Cherry, but it’s prohibitively expensive and doesn’t last as long as it should.

Lost cherry smells a bit better in the opening and sweeter in a sense and a slight bit more refined because it has more marzipan cherry almond but since they are different what I do love about lovely cherry is it's like this strong cherry you smell like in the tin can car fresheners that has that strong sickly cherry.
