Classic, serious, straightforward, and elegant, the BOSS Selection man is focused on his goals and being successful and balanced in his personal and professional life. The highlights are the top and heart, which last the first two hours are dominated by the well blended pink pepper and citrus. Performance has been great in the longevity department but this never really projects loudly but again is noticeable up close !

At the heart of the fragrance, the traditional and refined fougere theme has been reinterpreted to create a modern new identity, the aroma of geranium and cedar leaves, enlightened by star anise and petitgrain, expresses a clear and distinctive masculine character. I have used it a fair bit and think that the strength is fine for a scent of this type, being a cologne on the lighter side. It’s not dark or woody which isn’t a bad thing, as this makes it a great all round scent for almost any occasion.This is really an attempt at a more professional, office ready version of Hugo Energise for more mature audiences, with the same excellently blended pink pepper note that made Higo Energise so magnificent, but without the masculine woods that helped push Energise off the skin to radiate stronger for others to notice. com perfumes magazine - All Rights Reserved - do not copy anything without prior written permission. The opening is very green and juicy conveying something similar to a fig like smell but with somewhat of a lavender and violet powdery vibe. It works like a charm since people usually calmer after I shake their hands and within Selection projection. I must admit that it is a very nice perfume, but is similar to so many perfumes available in the market and does not have its own unique character.

Better longevity on clothes but I would not recommend this one for anything other than the office, chilling at home or running errands. It seems that Selection borrows many nuances from many different fragrance genres of the late 90s and early 2000s and tries to combine them into 1 fragrance and although this isn’t the most striking scent I do say it’s well blended and has accomplished that ! Eau de Toilettes use slightly fewer oils than an Eau de Parfum, which contributes overall to the lighter scent. this smells clean, nice, and safe for every time every occasions (IMHO) and my gf always love it on me.But because of it’s versatility, you can wear this one more or less whenever you like, whatever the season. Boss Selection is an elegant aromatic fougere fragrance - a subtle fusion of classic and modern for the charismatic man with a vision of where he’s going and what he wants to achieve.

Top notes of fresh, fruity Mandarin and Grapefruit make their mark instantly, while the fougère heart incorporates Patchouli and Cedar Leaf for a sharp, woody elegance. Scents this smell similar to are Mont Blanc Individual,Pi Neo,Armani Code and Givenchy Pi and Blue Label. Since then they've given us one very good scent - Dark Blue, a competent scent - Orange for men, and then the rest has sat somewhere between ok (The Scent) to pure garbage (Selection).Only reviews that feature the label "Verified Review" have been checked to ensure that the author actually used or purchased the product. It's an unlikely fragrance for a first review, but somehow it's a scent very well suited to the weather at the moment - gloomy, chilly and windy. Re-application is required as for me, the fragrance is gone after 4hrs - I still smell it but I have to jam my face into the area to get anything.

Unfortunately, at Gottchalks, all they had was the tester and they didn't seem to want to do anything about selling the testers even when all the cologne except for the tester was gone. Right off the bat I can tell that Hugo Boss Selection is a green fragrance with some brilliant citrus vibes that combine with some fresh spicy notes that are simply fantastic.Combining the ever tired combo of pink pepper and grape in the opening, reveals the lackluster amount of creativity poured into this bottle. The only downside is it barely projects at all and at times it's almost like scented water it's so light. Selection has been described as 'soapy' (we think unfairly) however it's definitely a very clean scent and perfect for daytime / warmer weather. If I could have the smell (during the first hour) and have it last for 7 hours, this would skyrocket along the same class as my other favorites.
