About this deal

Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too. The Abaddon-led Boarding Action force clearly has a beat-stick on the board, but ultimately it might be a little light on the bodies. This box can be used to assemble a variety of units the recommended build for Boarding Action games is Abaddon the Despoiler, five Legionaries, and two Cultist Mobs of ten models each. This complete boxed set for the Chaos Space Marines includes everything you need to assemble an elite fighting force, perfectly suited to these small format encounters.

Whether you're a seasoned player or a beginner, this set is a great addition to any Warhammer 40k collection. Making every model special to me is important, because they spend the majority of their time on my display shelf. Abaddon spearheads elements of his current campaign in person, and so the Chaos Space Marine Boarding Patrol includes the Despoiler himself , 10 Chaos Space Marine Legionaries , and 20 Cultists for you to cherry-pick your own patrol from. Beyond that, I’ve got the Phobos Strike Team kit coming in for its Infiltrators and a lot of building to do.

Take part in epic skirmish conflicts in the 41st Millennium and fight tactical battles through the winding corridors of abandoned Space Hulks and voyaging battleships with the new Boarding Actions Warhammer 40,000 game format. I’ve omitted the word Winter from the challenge’s name because I reside in the Southern Hemisphere and I’m writing this in a record heatwave. Yes, you can anchor yourself to a model range for aesthetic consistency (like using Orlocks for a penal guard army). This was the coolest shit to me when I got my first army box (it had a Stormtalon and Sternguard in it – does anyone remember that one?

I tell her that I positively must pick up a Phobos Strike Team Box, Deathwatch Veterans, Hellblasters, and the Black Templars Upgrades.

Ork and Chaos players are some of the finest repositories of themed armies because their factions are so flexible in the lore. Based on the few tips we know about Boarding Actions so far, I would say that the Marine Box is poised to be a surprisingly effective force — with the right back-up. I was lucky enough to grab one of the Chaos Marines Boarding Patrol boxes but am a little overwhelmed at the options for the legionaries in the box. You can change your choices at any time by visiting Cookie preferences, as described in the Cookie notice. Our mission is to guide new players in the first steps of their tabletop journey in the grim, dark future.

Instead, we mostly have mono-wargear squads that are much easier to handle in gameplay, but somewhat less interesting to unbox. I crawl through my accumulated bitz box for ideas – a compartmentalised mash of Imperial Guard, scenery and Space Marine pieces. With Arks of Omen launching now is the perfect time to look into kicking off a new Boarding Patrol detachment. Unfortunately, I am confined by petty constructs like money and capacity to deal with shit, so I always start with list-building to tighten my horizons. Not a fan of two sets of 5x Possessed, given lack of alternate poses etc, and Heldrake does seem weird fit lore-wise, but otherwise a nice box.Introducing the Boarding Patrol: Chaos Space Marines, a complete army set for Warhammer 40k enthusiasts. A hobbyist, player, and collector of miniatures and games, Adam's current obsession are his Death Armies for Age of Sigmar, his Blood Angels and Tyranids for 40k, and his ever growing Arkham Horror: The Card Game Collection. These fervent followers add to the thematic chaos, showcasing the legion’s ability to overwhelm their enemies through sheer numbers and zeal. A squad of Veteran Intercessors modelled with boardhing shields is there to give cover and start parties. The Boarding Patrol - Chaos Space Marines from the Warhammer 40k range is the ideal place to start building your Chaos Space Marines collection - giving you a great selection of the most important units for your army.

Yeah, actually I am kinda pissed that early-release Upgrade frames only have the bare basic pauldrons and a couple boltguns. I got good use out of the Heavy Support exemption for Space Marines which allows us to take a single Heavy Support choice if they’re Hellblasters or Eradicators. And, according to GW’s own tips, you’re probably going to want some more bodies on the field or some other way to do consistent damage via mortal wounds. I dislike the rounded, stubby proportions of Gravis armour, and I felt that shields would be a viable alternative in close-confines.
