About this deal

Toddlers need something simple and easy to use, so any magazine fed blasters, which are hard to refill, are not included in our list either. This does mean you lose the ability to slam fire but with a bit of practice you can fan fire and look much more like a cowboy too…so darn fun! It did not take me long to decide on my 1 of 2 Nerfs needed for Christmas; Nerf Rival Nemesis MXVII-10K. At 1,000 times smaller than a standard Nerf gun, about the perfect size for an ant, the mini Nerf guns were still able to fire. From the little single-shot pistols through to the latest and greatest NERF pistols, these are our faves.

I'd just moved in with my partner for the first time and thought these could be fun for mini battles around the house. Because the gun was far too small to house the springs found in a regular Nerf, the students used a fairly one-dimensional array of elastic beams to create tension that would propel a tiny dart nearly three feet. The lightweight and ease of loading and priming makes these a great first NERF gun for smaller kids too. You load it by pushing darts in from the front, which makes it very quick to reload and you can partially load it if you don’t have much time. While I agree that these seven Nerf blasters are good, I genuinely believe leaving the Regulator out of this list is criminal.

With a fully loaded magazine, the Prometheus can achieve eight rounds per second, which is just incredible. The Firestrike is considered to be a proper Elite blaster, so it produces velocities nearer the 70FPS mark and reaches about 30m, which is further and harder than the others listed here. The packaging states that it is built to the Elite spec, and is capable of launching a dart up to 30m. It's solidly made, having only two moving parts - there aren't many ways you COULD break this thing. It really does fire a long way and with a pretty flat trajectory over the size of most rooms or outside in a small garden. One way to judge how well a full-auto Nerf blaster performs is by looking at how many rounds it can fire in one second. The workings of the BowStrike are very similar to the GlowShot (see below) although there are a few subtle differences.

In this case, the right DNA strands placed in the right temperature solution for the right length of time produced trillions of nano Nerf guns.

This is a great little blaster, especially for smaller kids as it is easy to prime and the trigger action is really good. So if your kids are wanting a NERF gun but aren’t sure if they are big enough, or which one to go for, then rest assured that any one of the guns listed here will be a good introduction into the world of NERFing.

I have included the NERF Jolt simply because, this, the smallest NERF blaster, packs such a punch for a tiny little thing and has become a legend in the NERF world. Finally, while accuracy is not going to be your primary concern, you do not want something that is only going to fire a few feet or you will never be able to get close enough to your opponent to tag them. Beyond that, Rober says a fireable Nerf gun "could be done," but that the tools required were so expensive as to put it beyond the scope of his video.Like other blasters in the Rival series, the technical setup of the Perses includes a primary trigger, a trigger lock, and an acceleration trigger.
