Charts [ edit ] Weekly chart performance for The Bootleg Series Vol. 17: Fragments – Time Out of Mind Sessions (1996–1997) Chart (2023) The final versions are a Hollywood story, in comparison to the impossibility of shielding himself from real life that Dylan is actually experiencing. And only truly communicated in his earlier versions. Matrix / Runout (Side B runout): 19439981981-B 242185E2 1203923 MRP3791/19439981981/01-B STERLING RKS SUPPER CLUB: A CD/DVD set of Dylan's famous 1993 stand at New York's Supper Club was nearly released (in 2010) instead of the Witmark Demos. "I decided I liked the story of the Witmark Demos better than the Supper Club," says the source. "That will definitely come out on CD and DVD sometime soon, though." (August 2010)A question about a possible follow-up to Bob Dylan's 2004 book, Chronicles: Volume One, elicits a laugh and two words: "No comment." (August 2014) Another connection: The Deluxe Edition has four versions of "Tryin' to Get to Heaven." The third verse contains the line, "I'm just going down the road feeling bad." Ring them bells? Woody Guthrie covered the traditional folk song "Going Down the Road Feeling Bad." Bob sang it with The Band during the 1967 Basement Tapes period, itself the focus of a volume in the Bootleg series, Vol.11, released in 2014. The Grateful Dead made the song a permanent part of their setlists, and Dylan toured with the Dead in 1987. Dylan eulogized Jerry Garcia at his funeral in 1995, a year before the Time Out of Mind sessions began. The set’s fourth disc recreates Time Out of Mind in a live setting by including a rendition of all of the album’s songs culled from concerts Dylan played from 1998 to 2001. Finally, the fifth disc isolates the era-specific recordings that previously appeared on The Bootleg Series Vol. 8: Tell Tale Signs: Rare and Unreleased 1989–2006. Less likely to see the light of day: a sequel to Dylan's acclaimed 2004 book Chronicles Vol. 1. "I hope there's another one," the source says. "That's all I can say. If it was planned I'd tell you." (August 2010)
