About this deal

With the X100V, Fujifilm have managed to produce something that’s utilitarian while still being drop-dead beautiful to look at. The zoomed image never fills the screen, and if you have the X100 set to ROTATE PB, the zoomed image never leaves the little vertical cutout! The Fuji X100v has won virtually every comparison test with the GRIII. The lens is faster and sharper. It shoots FAR faster and has superior ergonomics and an amazing viewfinder. It handles like a real camera and is nicely sealed with a simple screw on filter that has no effect on the size. If RAW I'm seeing the photo from the F not perfect but certainly the lines are more delineated than the V. If I switch to JPEG then that difference becomes even more pronounced although I'm going to guess that there might be in-camera sharpening or contrast/brightness going on that might cause that difference. The X100 is much slower than a real DSLR like the Nikon D3100, but focuses much faster than a LEICA.

The EVF works swell for close up lenses, polarizers, grads, fisheye converters and anything else you can attach. Too bad Leica can't do this; it would eliminate the need for external finders for ultrawide lenses and the VISOFLEX for long lenses. Don't worry of you see ISO 400 and ISO 800 popping up with Auto DR and Auto ISO enabled in broad daylight; it means the system is working. Mechanical Shutter Approx. 4.0fps (JPEG: endless, Lossless compression RAW: 28 frames, Uncompressed RAW: 20 frames)Manual focus is a lot of fun, with focus peaking and the lens ring taking care of things when the light becomes too low, or you feel like having more of a MF film camera experience.

Moreover, the operation with the smartphone and tablet terminal becomes much simpler than the current application software, since all the data transportation operations, except for the “Bluetooth Pairing” between camera and the application software required at the first time only, are completed with the smartphone and tablet terminal. I've never had to use the buried-in-a-menu flash exposure compensation. If you do, it only provides ±2/3 stops of adjustment — but I've never needed any. As for the buffer, it’s rated at 38 JPEGs, and 17 lossless RAW files at the maximum speed of 11 FPS, using the mechanical shutter.Exactly! I love the OVF, and the EVF option here, with the X100 Series. I do prefer the OVF, but it's good to know, i can always switch to the EVF, with the push of a lever, if needed. The highlight rendition of the X100 is better than any DSLR, gracefully and naturally rendering difficult highlights. Mansurov, Nasim. "Fuji X100S Review". www.photographylife.com. Photography Life .
