About this deal

It's no secret that the focus for Ant-Man 3 has largely been on Jonathan Majors' Kang the Conqueror as it builds up to the events of Avengers: The Kang Dynasty. However, the time-traveling conqueror won't be the only foe to face the shrinking team as MODOK will also be making his MCU debut in the February 2023 release. In his free time, Shane loves going for runs and playing with his 16-year-old beagle Butterscotch. Butters for short, she has been the greatest love of his and inspires him everyday, both creatively and emtionally. On top of that, he's now a huge collector. He loves Funko Pop, McFarlane Toys, and Neca's huge line of horror figures. In the last two years he has been going to a lot of conversations to buy an unhealthy amount of figures. This has also allowed him to meet some of his favorite filmmakers/actors like Mike Flanagan, Matthew Lillard, John Carpenter, Grace Caroline Curry, Steve Burns and Kathryn Newton. We finally have a trailer for director Peyton Reed’s Ant-Man and the Wasp Quantumania Ant-Mans third solo movie outing where we delve deep into the Quantum Realm. Not too much of what to expect is given away by the trailer but comic book fans will know Kang the Conqueror is a relative of Victor von Doom, aka Doctor Doom from the Fantastic 4. The first look at Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania villain MODOK has surfaced online via a Funko Pop! figure that reveals his MCU design. Jeff Loveness, who wrote the script, and Peyton [Reed, director] and Paul [Rudd] made a very strong choice to retcon — is that the word? — this new reason for MODOK to be. I think it really works. It certainly works in the context of Darren’s arc." Kang the Conqueror was first introduced in the Disney+ Marvel series Loki and will also play a big part in the forthcoming Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and Secret Wars. There's plenty of spaces in Phase 6 where it could technically fit, but we have a feeling we'll have to wait until The Multiverse Saga wraps up to see a fourth Ant-Man movie. M.O.D.O.K., which is an acronym in the comics for Mental/Mobile/Mechanized Organism Designed Only for Killing, first appeared as a cameo in 1967's Tales of Suspense #93. The Direct first broke the news of the big-head villain's involvement in December 2021 before it was made official at San Diego Comic-Con this year. Although signs are pointing to some major changes to his iconic comic appearance, anticipation is high to see how MODOK will ultimately fit into the Quantum picture.

Maybe as a post-credit scene? But here is what we do know. Ant-Man and the Wasp Quantumania Spoilers Ahead! Quantumania will see Paul Rudd reprise his Marvel Cinematic Universe role as Scott Lang/Ant-Man, but will also introduce Jonathan Majors as the villain, Kang the Conqueror. Majors made his official debut in the MCU in Season 1 of Loki on Disney+ as He Who Remains, a variant of Kang. While he will reprise the role for Quantumania, he will also star as the main antagonist in Avengers: Kang Dynasty in May 2025. Kang Dynasty will act as the penultimate installment to the MCU's Phase 6, whcih will conclude with Avengers: Secret Wars in May 2026. In a recent interview, Majors revealed that he did not officially sign on to play Kang in future MCU projects until he had completed filming his scenes for Loki. "It was the character and dimensions of Kang, and the potential that it had," Majors said. "I thought, I’ll take a chance on that ." The Time Chair is a device that allows its occupant to travel through time and space causing havoc in the universe.

BEETLEJUICE 2 Set Videos Feature Jenna Ortega As Astrid Deetz And Michael Keaton(?) As Betelgeuse

While fans will no doubt be eager to see him on screen, the question remains as to what his purpose within the overall story of the movie will be. The plot of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania revolves around Lang's family finding themselves in the Quantum Realm and interacting with the inner space inhabitants. It's possible that the film will re-imagine the character as being a robotic program that serves the people of the Quantum Realm, or possibly Kang himself. Knowing that Kang has sinister motives for the heroes, MODOK will probably be more than willing to complete his mission of killing, or at least assist in doing so.
