Iceberg is a very light blue with strong gray undertones. It is almost a baby blue – but muted up with all that gray so there is nothing pastel about it at all. Iceberg is neutral enough to cover every wall in your entire home and still look interesting. Comments: Antiguan Sky is a very saturated and greenish light blue paint color. Like Jet Stream, I think it’s best in small doses, as a whole room in this paint might be a bit overwhelming for a room aside from a tropical cabana or beach house bathroom! It would however, make a fabulous front door color as shown below! Comments: SW Sea Salt is a fabulous light blue paint color that has a lot of green in it, it’s great in bedrooms, bathrooms, and even a family room.

Comments: Benjamin Moore Icy Blue is another fantastic light blue paint choice for your home. Because it is so intense (and quite youthful) I would recommend using it in small doses around your house. It’s great as an accent piece, or as an accent color in a bathroom. It’s fresh and slightly greenish undertones make it a fantastic choice for somewhere you want a youthful and clean aesthetic. Comments: Quietude is a fantastic light blue paint color that has a lot of green and a bit of gray. Because it is more concentrated than Rainwashed and Sea Salt, it goes better in more “serious rooms” that you would want to feel cozy. It’s a bit dark for the walls in the heavy use rooms in your house like a living room or a kitchen, but it is a nice accent color. This soft blue-gray is the color of a gentle early morning fog. It is very versatile and pairs well with a wide variety of accent colors.

Whispering Spring is a very light and icy blue, but is surprisingly saturated considering it’s tone. In otherwise, it’s really light but still really blue – and clinging onto those gray undertones so it doesn’t feel pastel at all. Analogous colors : The Analogous color scheme is made up of three colors that are next to one another on the color wheel. The palette is made in a similar fashion to how the Split Complimentary palette is made. However, in this pastel blue example, the two secondary colors are adjacent to pastel blue , the base, not the complement. They are The Sherwin Williams Awesome Violet (#ADB6CE) and Watery #ADCEC5 . Pairing light blue and whites is always a favorite in my book. See how we paired the light blue with a lot of white, a bit of navy blue, and a touch of red in my son’s bedroom? It just works! Light blue also looks excellent with a bit of yellow, an accent of green, or pink!

North Star is a cool, crisp blue-grey color. It has an icy appearance and pairs very nicely with a more charcoal gray. Sunrise in Provence : Draw some inspiration from the poetic palette of the sunrise in the lavender fields of Provence. Combine pastel blue with dark pastel blue (#799FCB), light red (#FEC9C9), pastel red (#F9665E), pastel green (#78DD78), menthol (#B5F9A8), and lavender (#E6E6FA). Duck Egg Blue Paint Colours

Again, my word of caution here on using light blue paint in your living room. Use a paint color that has a lot of gray in it (see my favorite bluish-gray paint colors here). But these light blue paint colors in the right circumstances would also look lovely in a living room. Monochromatic colors : To create a Monochromatic color palette with pastel blue, pair pastel blue with: medium-light shades of cyan (#89a1a9), (#95adb6), Sterling Blue (#A2B9C2), and very light shades of cyan (#D4EDF6).

Personally, I prefer to keep my bedroom a neutral paint color because I change my mind (and my bedding) all the time; but, blue paint colors are fantastic in bedrooms! Whether they are in a relaxing master bedroom, a little boy nursery, a big boy room, or a guest room, light blue paint colors have the same effect–soothing and restorative for the soul. Comments: SW Open Air is a fantastic pale blue–perfect for nurseries, as an accent wall, or in little boys’ rooms. It is a sweet paint color, that would also make a great bathroom paint color. It goes nicely with white paints and navy blues. The great Russian artist Wassily Kandinsky described blue as peaceful, supernatural, deep, “typical heavenly color.” According to his theory, pastel blue is more serene and calming, as he claims that the lighter the color blue gets, the calmer it becomes. And when in the end it becomes white, it reaches absolute calmness. Windy Blue is a light but richly toned blue gray color. It has enough pigment that it really reads as blue, but the tone is muddied enough that it doesn’t feel overwhelming at all. This color is stunning in person! Our Favourite Blue Paint Colours for 2023

Pastel blue — described as a light, cloudy blue — was among the sixteen shades of blue used by French artist Cézanne. Nivara Xaykao, associate manager of color marketing and development at Benjamin Moore, says blues are "pretty malleable" but there are a few considerations to keep in mind. Are you keeping any existing colors in the space like the trim and door? If so, she recommends making sure the blue has similar undertones to those colors. Comments: Blue Veil is another classic light blue paint color–with a good amount of gray in it. It is similar to Palladian Blue but has less green in it.
