We live in a Cambrian era of big data, of social networks, and we have this opportunity to redesign these institutions that are actually quite recent. A staged entry into force of the ecodesign requirements should provide a sufficient timeframe for manufacturers to re-design products subject to this Regulation as appropriate. Every bespoke item of jewellery passes through several stages of production. Firstly, we start with a consultation. Then, we create the design, and finally, we make the item of jewellery.

We tried to understand why the original 1970-design Anagram from Vicente Vela had this specific structure and discovered it was based on branding irons used to mark the cattle and the leather skins,' the duo explain. 'We studied the branding irons from all around the world to comprehend how metal is folded to make these structures.' Once completed, our client was happy to sign off on the designs. Recently, we re-created a White Gold diamond eternity ring in Platinum. In addition, our client needed a different finger size. In fact, the original ring no longer fit.

At the same time, the engagement ring had to match her diamond set wedding ring. Since we had previously crafted the wedding ring, we just needed to clean and re-finish this ring. Step 1. CAD jewellery design

The original logotype, set in a version of the Bembo font, has been re-designed by the Parisian pair in a typeface inspired by German-born typographer and calligrapher Berthold Wolpe. Looking at the history of the brand, the designers found that the trajectory of Wolpe (who was born near Frankfurt and emigrated to Britain in 1935) echoed that of Enrique Loewe Roessberg, the German-born craftsman whose name came to identify a cooperative of Spanish leather artisans in the mid-19th century. To accomplish this, we work with the original ring in hand. The completed re-production ring is made with a larger Opal and diamonds. Please note the incredible iridescence and colours within the large domed Opal.
