About this deal

this was supposed to be all cute and nostalgic but shit made me lose brain cells. i kept opening the other books in the series to see if i'm even reading about the right people. EK just went ahead and said "lemme delete who they were and lemme write new characters" like excuse me if you can't even write about your own characters properly then you shouldn't write a new book about them. also this was filled with so much drama, secrets and just plain ass unnecessary communication problems. The Dare is the most recent release into the Briar U series by Elle Kennedy. This has been such a fun series, I have fallen in love with this whole Briar U world and from the very beginning of the story, this author sets the tone of the story so beautifully, and boy, the LAUGHS, I found this book beyond entertaining in multiple of forms. This author definitely writes this genre that I look for, where we get the drama, but its not overdone or overplayed, just fits well with the age of the characters that we see here.

Conor and Taylor together were SO. CUTE. And I cannot stress that enough. They were so perfect for each other and I sound like a broken record, but EK really does pair her characters together perfectly. I loveeeeed the way Conor behaved with her and vice versa. Some of their scenes had me literally crying from laughter, they were SO funny and cute. And of course there was quite a bit of angst and damn if I didn’t enjoy those scenes too. Yum. Come on, Abs. Getting date-raped isn’t a party game.” Sasha steps forward, shielding me with her body.

Which is just what happens between Conor and Taylor. All it takes is a bet and a fake relationship that turns into a chance at something real. Conor and his swoony, smart, sexy ways smoothed over Taylor’s insecurities. And Taylor did the same for Conor. I loved how they worked things through, even when it wasn’t an easy discussion. Oh, sure, there were some bumps in the road, but in the end, Taylor and Conor’s love and friendship pulled through—with a little help from their friends. In his arms, I feel steady again, finally upright after being thrown askew. Because when we aren’t together, the world feels misaligned.

Sasha curls her lips and sort of snarls at her, which gets the guys in the room hooting in amusement. Dudes love catfights. The Dare Briar U, Book 4 Get ready for another binge-worthy romance from New York Times bestselling author Elle Kennedy! This does deal with issues/triggers of mental health, acceptance, family, love, body image and more. It had a little bit of everything. She scans the room, standing on her tiptoes to peer over people’s heads and get a thorough look at available options. A wide grin spreads out across her face when she turns to me again. This isn't Taylor's norm and it doesn't make her comfortable, but Conor does. Conor helps Taylor out and they become friends. Friends who fake date. Conor has such a big heart and I love that he always stands up for Taylor and tries to help her out. It's when the fake dating leads to real feelings that things get a little dicey. Wanna dance?” he then asks, leaning toward my chest like he’s speaking into the box at a fast food drive-thru. The chemistry between the main characters was great and I enjoyed the romance between Conor and Taylor. Plus, there were some great secondary characters that I really enjoyed.

Behind those curves is a bright, whip-smart, snarky young woman who just feels real and authentic. I loved that so much about her. The guy who sees all that and more hides his insecurities behind a golden boy smile and looks. He was raised dirt-poor and only good fortune made it possible for him to go to an Ivy league school. He never feels he belongs, really.Chills,” he breathes. “Genuine chills, man. Look.” He rolls up his shirt sleeve to show me his arm. “That’s the one.” dean and allie tho?? those two really served in their novella. it was funny, cute, wholesome, honestly all things good besides the miscommunication Now I must be completely honest I’ve been waiting & praying that Conor would get his book since he was introduced in (The Play)… And wallah, praying to the book god does really work 😈😈
