About this deal

It works like OctoPrint, installed on a Rasbperry Pi so you can remotely access your prints via a laptop or smartphone. If you just want to use Repetier as a 3D slicer, you can still easily print via USB or SD card, or directly to your 3D printer. It’s not used as commonly as others like Cura, but it’s still a good free 3D printer software option. That means Tinkerine Suite is super easy to understand and use, even if you’re not good with computers or haven’t done much 3D printing before. This makes it perfect for use in classrooms where younger children may not have much experience with technology, with the simple UX making learning Tinkerine Suite a breeze. Preview panel: fix skirt & brim, now use gcode colors. Note that the overhangs colors are not accurate (yet). At the end of the march, I have a kind of "BootCamp" to work on treadmill printers and other things. So another version should appear in early april. For the best slicing experience for FDM printers, you can't do better than PrusaSlicer. Despite being made by a 3D printer manufacturer, it isn't proprietary to Prusa printers and has a huge array of printers to choose from. If your printer isn't on the list, there is a way to create a custom setup for any 3D printer.

I know people who have 3D printers that are little more than appliances. They buy it, they print with it, and they don’t change much of anything. That doesn’t describe me and, I’m guessing, it doesn’t describe you either. This does lead to a problem, though, when it comes to slicers. You have to keep changing profiles and modifying them. It can be hard to keep things straight. For example, if you have profiles for different nozzles, you get to make a choice: keep one profile and edit the parts that change, or keep multiple profiles and any common changes have to be propagated to the other profiles. Part of the reason I want to manage multiple profiles has to do with this mystery object… Fix "first_layer_acceleration can't be computed" when saving a project with a % first_layer_acceleration Easy to use: There is no point in having infinitely advanced slicing tools (or any other great features) if nobody can find them, or work out how to use them. The interface should be simple and easy to learn, with appropriate guides for professional 3D slicing tools. Since it’s made by Ultimaker, Cura is perfect for Ultimaker 3D printer owners, as well as featuring specialized settings for dozens of other printers too. What that means is you can export your configuration as a bundle and then rearrange everything so that you have all your common settings in one place and then inherit most of those setting from specific items. For example, you might have a base PLA filament type. Then a PLA type for “Brand X” which overrides only a few items. Finally, you would have a specific “Red Brand X PLA” that only has to set the color and — if you have multiple extruders — maybe the pigment factor that controls how much filament gets purged between colors.Cura also has an excellent marketplace for add-ons made by the community, as well as integrations into some well-known CAD programs like Autodesk Inventor. It really is a toss between PrusaSlicer and Cura as to which is the best free slicer, so go with your gut. Using Chitubox, you can easily adjust the settings of each model as well as the specific resin you are using to account for speed and exposure time. It has a huge range of printers available to choose from, as Chitu also makes motherboards for several manufacturers. Once you do the import, you should be fine. One thing to watch for is that the [physical_printer] tag has all the presets you want set, so you don’t have to edit the physical printer to reassociate it with new profiles.

Slic3r is a powerful and versatile free and open-source slicer that’s been around for over a decade, born from the early RepRap community’s need for a reliable slicing tool. now there is contiguous & aligned. Aligned group seams for at least 6 layers, and can "jump" if a much better spot is found. Contiguous stay on the spot from the base plate (or enforcer). I went through several of these tests to see what happened, and I was quite surprised. Bed/Extruder leveling Updates to post-process script: try to run even if it can't find the file/exe. python3 instead of python for macos/linux #3062The options don’t stop there, either, thanks to a thriving add-on marketplace, with plugins (many of them community-generated = free) covering everything from Blender integration to custom supports. Creality Slicer – The Default Slicer

This allows you to forbid a widget/setting on expert but not on Simple tag, so it can "move" between "mode".Preview: the Preview stage identifies possible at-risk areas which could fail. This helps identify faults without having to waste time, materials and energy making those mistakes in real life. PrusaSlicer is well-maintained, feature-rich and always improving in new and interesting ways. It's the best slicer right now and should be on your rotation.

Anyone who has ever owned a DIY 3D printer kit will know just how good Prusa 3D printers are, and having forked Slic3r’s open-source 3D printer software, Prusa Slicer is specially designed for Prusa printers. So for those who either bought or built their own Prusa printer, the Prusa Slicer is optimized for you. Add 'external perimeter seam gap' (seam_gap_external) to be able to add a hole but only on the external perimeter, to print gears on bad printers. may work better than seam_notch, or maybe with both. Now don't create a sem gap too wide for a very small extrusion (not more than a quarter of the length) If you make any mistakes, the import will warn you. One common problem is that the GUI likes to capitalize things like the names of infill patterns. However, in the file, everything is lowercase.Additionally, unlike Cura, Creality Slicer includes well-tuned templates for the Ender 3 in all its incarnations, including the Ender 3 V2 and S1.
