About this deal

The first game in the newly-rebranded Terrinoth Legends universe, Descent: Legends of the Dark is the largest single project ever produced by Fantasy Flight Games. And it’s just getting started! Six new ships are added to the game including the Jumpmaster 5000 which can be upgraded to Dengar’s Punishing One, a Rogue class Porax-38 starfighter which can upgrade to Cad Bane’s Xanadu Blood, and a VCX-100 light freighter which upgrades to the Ghost from Star Wars: Rebels. Several of these ships go along with the new playable characters. The eight new character standees and cards. Who will you play as? Image by Michael Knight. Here is an example of a new databank card for Boba Fett, one of the playable characters from the base game, now in crew form. Encounter Step – If you don’t encounter anyone willingly, such as trying to secure a bounty, or you haven’t run into an organization along the space road that would fight your ship, then you must do another encounter via a Navpoints card. This card proposes a situation, and you must conquer said situation or pay the price. You will never end this three-step process without an encounter, so don’t try to weasel your way out. The long-awaited first expansion for Star Wars: Outer Rim has been revealed by Fantasy Flight Games, two years after the board game first hit shelves.

This, of course, just scratches the surface of the new content and new means of player interaction added to Star Wars: Outer Rim with this expansion. You can look forward to new ships, new jobs, new market cards, new encounters, and an expanded single-player mode as well! New Ways to Play In addition, most advertising networks offer you a way to opt out of targeted advertising. On The Edge

Star Wars: Outer Rim is a board game for one to four players centred around the lives of bounty hunters, mercenaries and smugglers operating in the furthest reaches of the galaxy. As one of these exiles, players will be able to explore the outer rim of the galaxy to take on jobs, hunt down criminals and embark on adventures to earn themselves renown. Anyway, before you land on planets, each player must go through a series of steps during their turn. Those steps are as follows: Star Wars: Outer Rim was already a phenomenal board game that provided hours upon hours of exciting adventures for players around the world. Now, with Unfinished Business adding more content and expanding upon what made the base game so great, it seems that the legend of this game will only continue to grow. You can look forward to once again flying through the Outer Rim when Unfinished Business lands in stores this summer! With the 25 th anniversary for Twilight Imperium around the corner, we have a lot of amazing things in store for fans of the franchise next year. The first of theseare two graphic novel series developed by our friends at CMON. Fantasy Flight Games is the studio responsible for Star Wars: Outer Rim and Unfinished Business, with the company releasing other Star Wars board games such as the miniatures game Star Wars: X-Wing and Star Wars: Armada.

But for those looking for something new in this expansion, the ambitions hit the mark. These are great for new players who might not be totally sure what they should do at the start. Each ambition will nudge you in a specific direction of who your character will be. Some will have you focused on bounty hunting, some collecting powerful gear, while others will have you trying to be the best smuggler in the rim. While I enjoyed these, I’m not sure I’d play with them all the time. They were cool in that they gave the end game a climactic feel. However, you are definitely pigeonholed by the kind of character you play during the game. If you drew the Crime Lord ambition, then you won’t be wasting time hauling cargo or hunting bounties. So if you’d prefer to keep the open world feel and make your way as you go, then you’d probably leave the ambitions in the box. But before you begin your journey, you have to step into the shoes of one of eight iconic Star Wars characters, each with their own personal goal and ability. Han Solo may want to find the fastest ship in the galaxy, while Boba Fett is looking to bring in bounties dead or alive. There was a fair amount of excitement over Restoration Games bringing this beloved game into the modern day. Regardless of how you feel about apps and electronics in your board game, Return to Dark Tower balances feeling familiar and intriguingly new. The centerpiece tower brings a literal and figurative elevation to the game experience. Whether Dark Tower was an old flame or a new discovery, there’s lots to love about this game.Return to Dark Tower took its roots and delved them deeper, offering something thematically satisfying for fantasy and co-op fans. Each boss edges their way into the world, making the board feel like a true map detailing corruption and plight. With interesting characters, creative dungeons to delve into, and skulls falling from the sky, this game lives and breathes in its own unique world. It may be just a modified YT-1300 light freighter for now, but complete the ship goal and you could be flying the Millennium Falcon ! Planning Ahead Once you have your new ship, you’ll need some things to fill it with. Fortunately, this expansion provides plenty of new gear, cargo, mods, and jobs for you to experience! Many of these cards have two assets: one on each end. These “rotating assets” have special features or represent 2-part tasks, and the rules for rotating them depend on the cards themselves. For example, the Bowcaster Astromech Droid Parts Custom Paint Job The other optional addition to the game is ambitions. If the player completes all four objectives on this sheet, they win the game!

Yet since its release in 2019, gamers have been clamoring for an expansion. Finally, 3 years later their wish was granted in the form of Star Wars: Outer Rim – Unfinished Business. Was this expansion worth the wait? Let’s find out! Expansion Overview: Traveling across the Core can save you a lot of time, but it also comes with some risk. The Core Worlds are under the control of the Empire, and if you have negative reputation with the Imperials, then you can expect some difficulty when flying across the Core. Familiar Faces Planning Step – During this step, the active player may gain credits, move across the galaxy, or recover all of their damage. In Outer Rim, players take on rogues and scoundrels such as Han Solo, Lando Calrissian and Jyn Erso who must complete a variety of contracts to earn credits and build up their fame. As well as its familiar faces, the game allows players to remix elements of Star Wars lore into their own adventure, with the freedom for characters to hop into ships belonging to other characters with various companions - Han piloting Jango Fett’s Slave I with an unshot Greedo by his side, for example.

Strange Encounters

Even after you have taken your last action, you are far from safe. The Outer Rim is full of danger and opportunity. At the end of your turn, you'll draw an encounter card based on your location. These encounter cards may provide new cargo or mods, help you make some progress on a job, or even test your skills for the opportunity to gain a huge reward. SCRIPT, because setting up the game is not necessarly the best part I added 2 scripts to help in your task

Turns continue until one player reaches ten fame, at which point they become a living legend and win the game! An example of an ambition sheet. If the player completes all four objectives on this sheet, they win the game! Star Wars Outer Rim: Unfinished Business was designed by Tony Fanchi and Corey Konieczka and published by Fantasy Flight Games, with graphic design by Michael Silsby. Star Wars Outer Rim: Unfinished Business Components When you’re not fighting a ground war with your character, you’re fighting a space battle with your ship. The ship battle can be for cargo, bounties, jobs, mods, or simply for survival against a particular organization that you might run into during your space journey. The latter of the bunch involves the four main organizations mentioned previously (Hutts, Empire, Rebels, and the Syndicate), who are always patrolling space looking for those who oppose them. They are represented by tokens, which follow players around their path. If you run into one of the tokens on the board, then you’re in a space battle that correlates to a specific numbered card and a reward that is generally significant. That shouldn’t mean you’re looking for trouble, as those organizations certainly bring the pain at times.
