Xylitol is a polyalcohol, made from corn husks or birch tree chips sold under various brand names (Perfect Sweet etc); is chemically processed and produced mainly in China. *It has been found that Xylitol is poisonous to dogs and they should not be offered scraps of any home made treats with it!
