About this deal

I’ve completed the full campaign now, and I have to say I really enjoyed it. The story, considering the fact it’s told through a small amount of text on cards, is really engaging. I was able to invest in the universe more easily, and care about the characters more than in a lot of fantasy novels I’ve read. kaland (8 gy, 2 v) után írom az összegzést, melyhez azonban korábbi, pakliépítési mechanizmusra kitalált játékok tapasztalata járul hozzá. A kizárólag pakliépítésről szóló Hero Realms és Eldorado legendája után (a teljes kezdőpaklit kidobhatod, és sokkal kedvezőbb, hatékonyabb lapokat szerezhetsz) kíváncsi voltam, hogy a God of War, az Arnak elveszett romjai és a Dűne: Impérium szűkre szabott pakliváltoztatása (néhány lap beszerzése mellett pár lap kiégetése) után mennyire adja az Aeon's End Legacy című játék az igazi pakliépítést. A mechanika kalandról kalandra történőátalakulása (új szabályok bevezetése) nagyon sokat dob a játékon, az eltérő képességekkel harcoló főellenfelek és szolgáik legyőzése egész más paklit igényel. Benne van a lehetőség, a rajzok szépek, egy átlagos fantasy világnak megfelelő szörnyekkel és hősökkel, akik varázslónak tanulnak. A tanulási folyamat kicsit közelebb hozza mindenkihez a saját karakterét, de a játék kooperatív vonását erősíti, hogy kizárólag pusztító képességekkel nem lehet megnyerni a játékot, az egyik karakternek támogatóként kell viselkednie, különben nem lesz könnyű győzelem. A történet is halad, bár komoly fordulatok nincsennek, de mégis ad egy irányt és hangulatot, amit utána a következő harcban át is lehet élni. A lapok néha személyre szólóan pusztítanak, sokszor a legkevesebb életerővel rendelkező karaktert pusztítják az ősellenség akciókártyái, tehát célszerű a karaktereket egy csapatként kollektíven gyengíteni, különben lesz, amelyik szereplő hamar elpusztul és akkor még nehezebbé válik a játék. A játékban szerintem az eddigiek alapján van mélység, a szereplők érdekesek, a történet egyszerűsége ellenére segíti a beleélést. Ajánlom azoknak, akik szívesen játszanak pakliépítős mechanizmussal, bírják a kooperatív szemléletmódot tehát tudnak a csapat sikerének örülni. A szabályok fordításánál az ősellenség paklijának összeállítása rész nehezebben érthető, de a játék ennek ellenére megérdemli a játékosok figyelmét. I played solo for the campaign, which works in almost exactly the same way as it would for anything up to four players. I really recommend Aeon’s End Legacy for solo players. The way the story changes how you play the way the game changes with every chapter is really good. I can safely say without ruining too much that the way my box, cards and character now will almost certainly be different to anyone else who ventures through the campaign. As we continued to move on, a new concept of evolve was introduced. While in theory this mechanic is awesome and throughout the game there were some cases where I liked how they used evolve, there were others that seemed odd. In one case, a card would evolve just from not eliminating it and it having time to grow. This made thematic sense and it was cool to see the larvae turn into something bigger and grow. It added weight to my choices about what to focus on. There were some evolve cards however, which felt so generic and put a bad taste in my mouth immediately. When a card is flipped over and says, “If this is Chapter 4 evolve this card” it breaks the immersion. There are other ways that this could have been handled such as saying “if boss xyz was defeated then evolve this card”. This would give a flow and then when the new card came out the story would continue. Aki teheti ne a magyar változatot vegye ebből a játékból!! I love that each nemesis has its own player board, rules, cards and tokens, even rules of play. It means that subsequent fights aren’t just rinse and repeats of the previous ones, there’s real variety in what’s happening. Description and summary of what the set is about. This set adds a new gamemode, Outcast mode, which replaces Gravehold with an ally mage capable of casting custom abilities to help the players. Many keywords return from previous sets, including LINK and ATTACH, and there are more Treasures for expeditions.

This is one of the best cooperative games I've ever played, partly because it's tough. Every fight feels brutal, but not impossible. The Taste

This large set introduces many new mechanics and cards, as well as a new gamemode. Spells with the ECHO keyword are cast twice from a breach, and relics with the ATTACH keyword are attached to breaches, adding effects when spells are cast from those breaches. Many of the new mages include innovative new mechanics using custom cards, breaches, and tokens. The Expedition Mode allows multiple games to be linked together, rewarding players with new Treasure cards, which provide permanent bonuses during a game. The New Age's expedition mode and relevant randomiser/treasures and rules are there, so that should be fully playable. Ancient and strange Nameless draw near to Gravehold, challenging the mages and players with new enemies that require careful attention and timing. This set includes a second dual spell.The next time you gain a card this turn, you may place it into an ally's hand. Then, that ally gains a copy of the same card and places it into their hand. And that seems to be the theme of this outing – value. While in previous games in the series, and indeed the core box, any powers that offered healing made things a little too easy, here there’s none of that. Instead, you’ve really got to be working on the market to upgrade your cards, and those of your allies. Aeon’s End: The New Age introduces the Expedition system into the Aeon's End universe which allows players to replay all of the content they own in a short campaign format. After each game, players will receive new treasures and player cards that allow them to become more powerful. However, the nemeses that players will face grow stronger and stronger with...
