The VL150II has been updated, giving you access to 2.4GHz wireless control, enabling it to be controlled remotely using the Godox RC-A6 Wireless remote (Available separately). The VLII series also features Bluetooth connectivity, enabling you to control all your lights via the Godox Light Smartphone App, which is available for free on the iOS App Store, and the Google Play Store on Android. Both Godox VL150 and SL150W II supports a yoke with a handle that allows full 360-degree rotation of the light. In addition, both models offer an option to turn off the fan if you need total silence while shooting, but with reduced brightness. Note that the fan noise is already minimal in both models. Godox VL150 will suit you best if you are looking to shoot outdoor and carry around equipment frequently and it is much lighter than SL150W II. The later one is specifically for studios and does not come with support for an external battery, that’s the reason it’s priced lower than SL150W II. These are the Godox SL 150 II LED Light, Godox SL150 II Bi LED Light and Godox SL200 II LED Light.
The control box is the main difference between the Godox VL150 and SL150W II. The VL150 comes with a compact control box that includes the power unit as well. The buttons in the control panel box let you adjust the settings of your light, whether it be dimming, turning the fan off, or turning off the light. Coupled with the remote, it lets you control your light from where you are without going to the control box. h Godox really need to produce fresnels (and a projection attachment) which are optimised for their lights. This is the big gap between them and Aputure and NanLite. I would also like to make some interviews, documentaries- etc. I saw a comparison and Godox VL150 sounds almost the same as SL150W II (correct me if I'm wrong). Aputure LS C120D II has a higher 180 W rating compared to the 150 W of Godox VL 150. Both models share the same operating current(2A) and power supply rating, AC100~240V 50/60Hz. In addition, both models use the same battery plate 1 x V-Mount. In terms of connectivity, Aputure LS C120D II features a 5-pin XLR whereas the Godox VL150 is equipped with a 4-pin XLR power input connector.
