About this deal

Delta Species were special Pokémon with an unusual Pokémon type. This Gardevoir- EX was a Fire type, rather than its usual Psychic. Further distinguishing this Pokémon was its Imprison Poké-Power. The set itself will be relatively small but is going to feature more than 45 cards, including four Pokémon V and two Pokémon VMAX. Dark Sylveon V, Lance’s Charizard V, Pikachu V Union, and more. There will also be a “special subset” of 25 cards included that are remakes of iconic cards like Base Set Charizard and Tapu Lele-GX.

This set also has the beautiful Erika’s Venusaur #4 which is notoriously hard to grade in a 10, because of its large holofoil area. As you’ve probably noticed, the further we get down our list, the heavier the investment in sealed product becomes, but that’s always going to be the case as we make our way through vintage cards.

As Holon Phantoms is only a 110 card set, that wasn’t heavily printed, it’s one of those boxes that gives the potential to pull something highly valuable – as such booster box prices in the market reflect this. This set also contains 3 beautifully designed legendary bird cards and a very cool secret rare Charmander Holo #113. Ryan is a Senior Staff Writer for Dot Esports who has been working at GAMURS since 2020. He covers a wide variety of titles from across the gaming space, with a focus on Pokémon. He boasts a degree in Journalism from Murdoch University and is a Challenger level Fall Guys player. These kind of cards haven’t been repeated in the two decades since it’s launch, making these sets super unique.

Also this set was released a good few years after the Wizards of the Coast era, so the volume of boxes printed was certainly a lot less in comparison to the buzz of 1999. Furthermore, as you may already know, there are multiple variants of this box; we have 1st Edition, Shadowless, Unlimited and even the 4th Print (which has gained recognition in recent times). There are also more products to choose from within this line that come with their own perks, including a Celebrations collectors chest, Ultra-Premium Collection, Mini Tins, and Elite Trainer Boxes. I’m going to break down my top recommendations that I believe stand the best chance of long term growth. It has a lot of updated character artworks that look more like they’re out of a video game, than an artists hand. But because Neo Destiny had a 1st Edition print run, going after an ‘unlimited’ print box will be the most cost-effective way to buy into this product. If you’ve ever seen the holos from this set, you’ll know why! They simply look incredible and really add to the perceived rarity and value of the cards. In my opinion it’s a great vintage booster box to obtain, available in 1st Edition and Unlimited printings.

But for serious collectors who have perhaps acquired all the WOTC era boxes they want, and are looking to move onto something new, Power Keepers offers a great eeveelution! Pikachu V-UNION is the fourth V-UNION product released for the game, which lets you play a mega-sized combined card if you can get all four pieces of it into your discard pile. Some of the most collectible cards from the naughties belong to the Holon Phantoms set – in particular, the Gold Star Mewtwo #103 and Gold Star Gyarados #103 (which features a unique red Gyarados). Along with the perfectly round friend, you get an etched foil promo of Pikachu VMAX a new, foil version of Pikachu V, eight Celebrations boosters, three other boosters, and a code for TCG Online. This gives a lovely silhouette effect of the Pokemon which has many dimensions as you tilt it towards the light. Let us know your thoughts on this set and what Pokémon TCG card has been your favorite throughout the years. Have any particular memories? Share down in the comments or on Discord! Arguably the 'main' product of the range, the Elite Trainer Box is very similar to both the Elite Trainer Boxes from other expansions, and to Magic the Gathering's Bundles. Alongside the 17 Celebrations boosters, and eight other boosters, you'll get two metal cards: one with Base Set Pikachu, and one with the game's most valuable card of all time, Base Set Charizard. Both of them also make an appearance on the included enamel pin.

Thank you so much for making it to the end of my article. I hope it’s given you a few ideas for your collection. This is because it contains 8 hyper rare ‘shining’ cards; Shining Celebi #106, Shining Charizard #107, Shining Kabutops #108, Shining Mewtwo #109, Shining Noctowl #110, Shining Raichu #111, Shining Steelix #112 and Shining Tyranitar #113.Like Neo Destiny above, Gym Challenge has a 1st Edition print run and an unlimited print run, giving booster box collectors two price options to enter the market at. Here is a list of all of the products included in the Celebrations collection that you can look for on your marketplace of choice. Local stores likely won’t have listings available until closer to the official launch in October. There are also exclusive Celebration products for different countries and stores, so we'll try to cover most of them here. Each box includes a foil promo of its face Pokemon, as well as a collector's oversized card. They also come with four Celebrations boosters, two other boosters, a Celebrations information sheet, and a code to redeem it all on TCG Online.
