About this deal

Originally published as You Can Feel Good Again in 1992, Stop Thinking, Start Living goes over many common-sense strategies which should help you leave doubts and anxieties aside so that you can finally start living a healthy and happy life.

Set a budget. One of the simplest and most effective steps you can take to reduce worry caused by your complex life is to budget your expenses. There's nothing mysterious or difficult about it: P 27. There is a fundamental law at work here: Thoughts grow with attention. The more attention you gave to what you're thinking, the bigger the book becomes in your mind and the more important that thought will seem. When difficult things happen, you have to deal with them. There is no staying in bed and pulling up the covers indefinitely. While it might work for a day, or even two, eventually you have to face whatever is going on and deal with it. Often, thinking “too much” is actually to my benefit. It keeps me from making big goofs, makes me feel prepared, gives me a sense of control, of being thorough. Walking is exercise. Sports, Pilates, and playing with the dog are too. It doesn’t have to be training for the next Olympics. Just get moving, and get tired. 5. Become the ultimate skeptic.Better than confining your decisions to your own biases, perspectives, and mental filters, commit to seeking support from loved ones.

Serve first, seek second” should be the motto for anyone currently distressed by their perceived problems. This little book will change your life if you want it to. Severe anxiety and depression need not rule your mind if you listen to the advice in this book. Absolutely awesome, I recommend it to everyone! Stop thinking, start living! :)The first way of thinking is memory-based and is called processing; the latter one is insight-based and is the creative, free-flowing mode of your thinking habits. It's also important to remind yourself that others care just as much as you do about social issues and charitable causes. It's okay to let them share the burden of responsibility; often it's the only way to make it bearable. This doesn't mean you should stop caring; rather, it means you should take pride in what you do and stop worrying that it isn't good enough. It is. I have read many of this type of book but not learnt a great deal. This is logical, self explanatory and a very good read. There is no deep meanings or regression to the past. Read this book and if done properly, it will change your life for the better. Helped me with stress, anxiety and depression.
