About this deal

Cut up any vegetables that you would like to add to your pasta salad. Make sure you have an adult to help you with any sharp knives. Having started from humble origins, Joe’s father is now a billionaire, and Joe has everything he wants, except true friends.

I liked this book because it was comic, a bit spooky and totally unbelievable! The made-up word alerts were fun too. I wasn't so keen on the sadder parts but they did make it a little more realistic. It certainly made me less keen on going to the dentist! What has happened to the eggshells? Can you write a sentence for each liquid explaining what you can see has happened on a piece of paper? Can you write a persuasive letter using your research and planning notes from last week? I have used my planning notes to write a letter containing 3 different points in separate paragraphs. I have then expanded each point by including 3 pieces of evidence. The dentist is a common phobia amongst children, and the more sensitive might find some of the more nightmarish scenes difficult to take, most notably when Alfie gets all his teeth removed without anaesthetic, his arms and legs held in place with metal cuffs. Yet whilst this book is unlikely to dispel any dentist fears, there's enough humour in the mix to prevent it becoming too terrifying for the majority of young readers. Don't miss this terrific tale from the West End producers of David Walliams' Gangsta Granny and Billionaire Boy, which were both nominated for an Olivier Award! It's the funniest and most exciting show yet! This is not a book to read before you go to the dentist. As the story grows we find that every night Miss Root goes into children's bedrooms who have put their teeth under their pillow for the tooth fairy. She hides under their beds and take their tooth away and leaves something horrid behind like an eyeball that's still moving, a batwing that is still warm, dead slugs, earwigs We would scream if this happened to us, we'd be petrified we'd run away from our houses, she's like a tooth witch. It's like the actual tooth fairy was kidnapped or eaten by a cat.

I love how it builds up the story line slowly and all the characters are well thought out. This book shows the. Character change of Alfie as he becomes brave and saves his dad.

Join Alfie and Gabz on this fabulous adventure, as they investigate the strange events happening in their home town! As seems to be the case with David Walliams books, or at least the two I've read, they end on quite a sad note, which I find unusual for children's books. I don't know whether he's trying to teach kids a lesson about loss and grief, or prepare them for the inevitable, but it seems out of place, especially in Demon Dentist. I felt so sorry for Alfie, and I'm sure children reading it will, in some cases, be distraught! Darkness had come to the town. Strange things were happening in the dead of night. Children would put a tooth under their pillow for the tooth fairy, but in the morning they would wake up to find… a dead slug; a live spider; hundreds of earwigs creeping and crawling beneath their pillow. This week, we are going to be learning words where the ‘k’ sound is spelt ‘que’ and the ‘g’ sound is spelt ‘que’. These words are French in origin.

I have put egg shells in 6 different drinks (orange juice, milk, Coke, Diet Coke, water and tea) to see what would happen to our teeth if they were left in the drinks for this long. Another solid, reliable, entertaining and perfectly reliable book from David Williams, with great illustrations by Tony Ross. There's lots for the kids to enjoy here.

From the award-winning producers of Gangsta Granny and Billionaire Boy comes the amazing World Premiere production of David Walliams’ bestselling story! Join Alfie and Gabz on this fabulous adventure, as they investigate the strange events happening in their home town! Children are leaving their teeth for the tooth fairy and waking up to find odd things under their pillows! Alfie and Gabz are determined to get to the bottom of the mystery-but no-one could have dreamt what they’ll discover, when they come face to face with the demon dentist herself in this hilarious and thrilling story! David Walliams is such a funny guy and I was expecting so much more from this book, maybe something as crazy and funny as Roald Dahl but it falls way short of that. P8 “Please, please, please….” Alfie would say. Father and son would close their eyes and meet in their daydreams. Together they: went out fishing for the day in Scotland and caught the Loch Ness Monster; climbed the Himalayan Mountains and came face to face with the Abominable Snowman; Slew a huge fire-breathing dragon. This was the world of the imagination. Anything was possible in Dad’s and Alfie’s adventures. Nothing could stop them. Nothing! There are more long-tailed tits and goldcrest birds around because they survived the warmer winter. David Walliams is the New York Times bestselling author of Demon Dentist, The Midnight Gang, and Grandpa's Great Escape. His novels have sold over eighteen million copies worldwide and have been translated into over fifty-three languages. David’s books have achieved unprecedented critical acclaim—with many reviewers comparing him to his all-time hero, Roald Dahl. In addition to being a bestselling author, David is an actor, comedian, and television personality. In 2017, he was awarded an OBE for services to charity and the arts. He lives in the UK. I really enjoyed this funny and scary book. I think children will love this book! My favourite character was Winnie because she was a fun and very colourful character. I wonder. Will Alife ever go to his eveil dentist Fieldfares have to leave the countryside because of the cold weather and they need to look for food in gardens.
