COSRX is a Korean skincare brand that has acquired a cult following from all over the world in a very short amount of time. Beauty gurus swear by it, everyone and their grandma raves about it, so the only thing that was left for me to do is to buy and try some of their products. After double-cleansing, I’ll use a Muji cotton pad and do 2-3 pumps across mainly my t zone area ( please avoid your eye and lip area). Some people prefer to pat this on using their fingertips, but I find if I use a cotton pad I can see that there’s still either makeup or dead skin after application so I use it as a last step cleansing method. Salicylic acid is a beta hydroxy acid. Betaine salicylate is a combination of salicylic acid with betaine. It works as an exfoliant and natural moisturizer, without being too harsh on the skin. Due to having Oily skin I need to use BHA toners at least twice a week. I've tried so many from cult favourite Paula's choice BHA to Glow Recipes BHA toner and sadly this one doesn't compare to those two. This is definitely a more gentle BHA and perfect for those starting to use a BHA exfoliator.
The duration of one skin cycle is approximately 4 weeks. So it will take about 4-6 weeks to notice significant difference in your skin. As for the pores, this didn’t make a massive difference right off the bat like the COSRX one due to its oily consistency, however, my pores also appeared significantly smaller in the morning. Paula’s Choice Skin Perfecting BHA Liquid Exfoliant has no added fragrance to it, however, it comes with a slight scent. It’s not horrible but there is a slight “laboratory” type of smell to it.
