About this deal

do not use spermicide with diaphragm or condoms – try non-spermicidal lube or different type of contraception Potassium citrate is a product that is sometimes recommended for the treatment of mild cystitis. It may help to relieve the discomfort, although there is no strong evidence of its benefit. It works by making the urine less acidic. It can be bought without a prescription at pharmacies and other retail outlets. It is strongly recommended that the UK National Poisons Information Service be consulted on cases of suspected or actual overdose where there is doubt over the degree of risk or about appropriate management. High potassium levels may occur in patients who have a condition predisposing them to high potassium levels. Monitor potassium levels as high potassium levels are detrimental to maternal and embryo-foetal cardiac function.

This Medicine is sold by Boots Retail (Ireland) Limited at the professional discretion of a Boots pharmacist.
