About this deal

Oddly, Orks – or “Greenskins” as they’ve been labeled in the book (though their keyword is still “ORK”) – are both more and less versatile than the Kommando team from the Octarius Killzone. More versatile in that they have more unit options and can take larger teams but less in that they have fewer options overall and no faction TacOps yet. An Ork kill team consists of two fire teams from the following list: One of a very few known successor Chapters of the Space Wolves, these cold and taciturn Primaris Space Marines revel in hunting the enemies of the Emperor. This issue of White Dwarf contains not only lore, squad markings, and a full codex supplement, but also a rather handsome transfer sheet and three Stratagem cards for the Wolfspear. These secretive, holy warriors are psychic Space Marines tasked with eradicating the Daemons of Chaos wherever they find them. Special Features Kill Team Octarius is the launch box for the latest edition of Kill Team. It's a limited edition product, so won't be on sale forever. Octarius is a themed box, featuring two specific kill teams and some tie-in warzone scenery. Other themed sets will follow like this, but might not include the Core Book and accessories.

What I think will really help these though is that Tau have a Tactical Ploy named Stand and Fire (1CP) that allows them to use a ranged weapon in melee. It does disable the special rules though, but AP2 doesn’t affect melee fighting anyway. If you’re trying to bring your friends into the game here some tips for making those first intro games easier. When you’re trying to ease people into the game, it’s critical to allow players to focus on the parts that are fun – Rolling dice and moving plastic miniatures around across some terrain. Standard Battle Sisters have a good Save of 3+ and carry Boltguns. They’re good average operatives without any special rules. You can field 5 of them in a Fire Team, of which one can be an Icon Bearer, one a Gunner, one a Heavy Gunner, and if you don’t have a Leader, one can also be a Battle Sister Superior. More dangerous weapons, like the Power Sword above, also get Special Rules like Lethal (which increases chances of a crit), to further bump up their wielder’sodds of winning the battle of dice. A Commorite Kill Team is made up of two Fire Teams; you get either 5 Kabalites or 5 Wyches in each team, for a total of 10 models.Kill Team Into The Dark is a brand new Starter Set for Kill Team containing everything two players need to start playing. Imperial Guard equipment is a pretty standard selection of grenades, a medikit, some armour and a Standard you can plant to improve your control over an objective. Kill Team 2nd Edition won’t be all about one-off scraps to the death. Its Spec Ops campaign mode lets you field your operatives across persistent narrative battles, earning new skills and equipment along the way. In the new game, models’ movement stat is therefore given not in inches, but in regular increments of symbols referring to a specific side of the gauge. So, if your model’s Move stat is “2▲”, you can move it along two full lengths of the triangle-marked side of the gauge. A Boy fire team includes five Boz with up to one Gunner, who gets either a big shoota or a rokkit launcha. You can also choose to trade out one boy in each boy fire team for a pair of gretchin. To make things as confusing as possible, the Clan Kommandos here are Kommandos like the Octarius ones, but also different. You get five of them, with the option to upgrade one to a leader nob if you didn’t take a leader elsewhere. Compared to the Octarius Kommandos these aren’t as unique, and just come with sluggas and choppas, while the Nob comes either a choppa or power klaw. Much less personality overall. And then there are the Speshulist fire teams. Each one contains four models in any combination of Burna Boys and Lootas and your optional leader upgrade here is a Spanner. And, well, from all we’ve seen so far, that doesn’t sound too far off. While the teams in here aren’t as detailed as the ones in Octarius rules-wise, there’s a ton here and almost all of it feels very well-balanced. There aren’t any glaring omissions from a faction standpoint this time around, and if you’re going to play Kill Team 2.0 with anything but the Octarius teams, you need this book.
