The strobe in question was the godox de 300, not the sk300ii ( https://www.dpreview.com/forums/thread/4329414#forum-post-61787979). The MAINS plug or an appliance coupler is used as the disconnect device, the disconnect device shall remain readily operable. on your advice, did just that after one session, can't/refused to put up with it now my sk400ii is effectively mothballedThis product, except consumables e.g. flash tube and modeling lamp, is supported with a one-year warranty. Although it is predominantly made from lightweight, high-quality metals, there are a number of plastic parts to the system but all plastic has been specifically treated to ensure it can withstand any high temperatures that it may have to deal with when being part of the Godox sk400ii. This is ideal as you may be using the lighting system with a 0.4 second recycle type and rapidly capturing photographs and activating the unit making it get hot in a short amount of time. Synchronously press the Button and the Button can turn on the built-in wireless transmission and the < > is displayed. If there are other wireless flash systems nearby, you can change the channel IDs to prevent signal interference. The channel IDs of the master unit and the slave unit(s) must be set to the same. Setting the Communication Channel Once you find the right exposure and the right power with off-camera flashes/strobes you can shoot thousands of images with manual exposure and flash power and every one will have the same exposure unless you change the flash to subject distance.

When PROP is displayed, short press the Button to enter Percentage mode. Short press the SET Button and the percentage value is blinking. Turn the Select Dial to choose the light brightness from 5% to 100%. Short press the SET Button to exit. The TT685 and V860 are no more powerful than the TT600 they just add TTL which you will not be using. There was a thread not very long ago by someone who has this strobe and he was having big problems with it overheating. Search the forum for SK300II and I'm sure that thread will turn up. With the usual subject TTL will give you a useful exposure that can be fixed in post about 90% of the time. The rest of the time you will have to make Exposure Compensation and Flash Exposure Compensation changes because of unusual subjects (e.g. a bride in white against a white wall will be badly underexposed if you rely on just TTL and don't use EC and FEC). disclaimer: I'm just an avid, self-taught amateur who shoots portraits and events so take everything with a grain of salt (ok, maybe a spoonful of salt) Once the flashes or strobes move off camera and the subject to flash/strobe distance is fixed the exposure never changes. You should immediately go to Manual Exposure on the camera and Manual Power control on the flash or strobe

We always see a few people each month reaching out for advice on studio strobe lighting, more specifically the Godox sk400ii lighting system. Due to this, we decided to sit down and publish our dedicated Godox sk400ii review to try and help as many of our readers in this same situation as possible. I have only on camera popup flash that Im using. Did you mean trigger TT600 by D600 popup flash? (See my question at bottom) I'd go for TT600 + TT600 and if you don't have enough power add another TT600 and use two of them firing into your softbox. The sound button (8) is used for deciding whether there is sound reminder for ready flash after recharging. When the buzz indicator is on the LCD panel, the buzz function is working; when it is disappear, the buzz function is not working. A "BI" sound will be heard when it's fully charged. Key CombinationSynchronously press the GR/CH button and the S1/S2 button can turn on/off the built-in wireless transmission. If there are no wireless and channel indicators displayed on the LCD panel, the built-in wireless transmission is off. On the contrary, the built-in wireless transmission is on. Synchronously press the S1/S2 button and BUZZ button to recover factory settings. Alarm Display When there is flammable accessory on the flash unit, do not keep the modeling lamp on for a long time. It is recommended to cool it down for one minute after 10 minutes' working. Shut down the power and remove the power cord before replacing the flash tube. Wear insulated gloves to loosen the iron wire on the tube, keep a balanced hold on the two feet of the flash tube and pull out the old tube gently. Take down the feet casing from the old tube and put it on the new one. Hold two feet of the new tube, and target directly towards the two copper outlets, then push them slightly in. Twine the iron wire on the stainless steel sheet to fix the flash tube. Do not flash directly towards naked eyes (especially those of babies), otherwise it may lead to visual impairment. After 30 continuous flashes at full power, the flash should be cooled down for about 3 minutes. Overheating will occur if it is used continuously without cooling down.
