It's no mystery why James Patterson is the world's most popular thriller writer ... Simply put: Nobody does it better. JEFFERY DEAVER Inevitably, there are a few points where the reader needs to suspend disbelief, particularly where the lead couple’s cases intersect. And, probably due to having two cases running simultaneously, the final reveal of the Family Man’s identity and the motive behind the chilling murders was not as impactful as I had expected. However, Patterson makes up for the shortcomings by closing Triple Cross on a nail-biting note with the exciting possibility of a face-off between M and Alex in the oncoming episode. Simple language, short chapters, crisp dialogues and vivid descriptions make Triple Cross a rapid, riveting read, and it is not to be missed by the fans of this splendid series and any other reader looking for all-round entertainment. Alex Cross] has become one of the greatest fictional detectives of all time, a character for the ages. DOUGLAS PRESTON and LINCOLN CHILD

Triple Cross by James Patterson | Waterstones

If I was in trouble, I would definitely want Alex Cross helping me. He is tough, takes no crap and highly dedicated. He loves his family more than anything, and they are a part of my world now too. How can you not love Nanna Mama and her cooking, or Ali and his keen detective skills.Alex Cross gets better with age, and after 30 cases is showing no signs of slowing down. Here’s to 30 more! Patterson boils a scene down to the single, telling detail, the element that defines a character or moves a plot along. It's what fires off the movie projector in the reader's mind. MICHAEL CONNELLY So, we have a nasty one at work. A killer who targets families. Striking at night, leaving no trace, not even how they got in. Leaving everyone completely flummoxed. We also have an author, one of true crime rather than fiction, who has assisted in cases before, pointing out things that the cops have missed. His interest in this case has been piqued and he is desperate to try and help. But is he more involved than he admits... exactly how does he "find" these new clues... All a bit iffy to Alex Cross... What is there to say that has never been said before.. not much James Patterson is a true legend! This is the longest ever series I have read and book 30 Triple Cross did not fail my expectations.

But Cross isn't the only one investigating - a charismatic true-crime author has spotted patterns in the case of 'The Family Man' killer that others have missed. These books are always a highlight in my reading year, and I will continue to read them as long as James Patterson writes them. In the meantime, his wife Bree is charged with finding an anonymous caller/bomber who gives Bree hints of where bombs can be found around Washington DC. Working with the FBI, ATF and other national alphabets, the DC Police must learn the motive to find the bomber; can Cross’ patient give Alex what he needs to learn the identity before Congress is taken out? While husband and wife are fighting to solve their confounding mysteries, Alex’s long-time adversary, known only as ‘M’, makes his presence felt in his own disconcerting manner and his connection, if there is one, to their cases could make it all much more complicated.Like being caught in a spider's web I was hooked and couldn't put the book down. Thoroughly spellbinding. Characters brilliant.' Granted his readers have become more negative and unkind and nasty language has become ‘norm’ . I am sure they don’t even notice my concern.

In this tale, Michael Bennett again breaks all the rules searching for a man who first drove a vehicle through the NY City crowd attending the annual Thanksgiving Parade, and then detonated an explosive in the vehicle.
