Riley and Aiden fits each other pretty well in my opinion. They make each other feel seen, and confident in who they are. Ma adesso era cresciuta e non aveva tempo per pensare a lui. I couldn't put this down. The premise was sooo different and I loved every bit of it. And getting to see a little bit of Kal from the first book? Icing on the cake.

This is a story of two parts and is a darker contemporary romance inspired by the myth of Orpheus and Eurydice. I did enjoy this but not as much as the previous book which I loved. Aidan just wasn’t a hit with me I never warmed to him. Firstly he took everything on surface value without digging any deeper. I am aware he was an anti-hero but that wasn’t really my issue I love a good baddie but Aidan just rubbed me the wrong way and he was so indecisive over his own intentions and for someone who had previously been plagued by a SA scandal he was surprisingly blasé now about crossing that particular line. His stated intentions of clearing his name also didn’t quite line up with his actions here and a lot of their beef could have easily been cleared up by an actual conversation. Kinda a let down after the second one. The plot kinda got lost. Lenny and Jonas have a mutual agreement to fake date (which turns into a fake engagement) but wasn’t really fully executed. Like one of the reasons they got together was for publicity, but I was expecting publicity stunts and more public outings. Yet, a lot of the drama centered on family. The reason why they started as couple became kind of lost (expect the excuse of Lenny being forced to date Preston) I did like Jonas and Lenny, I wanted more scenes together- I feel like some of the family drama took that romantic buildup away. Jonas was the highlight of this book for me, because I adored him with every fiber of my being. Please rail me into the next century, sir, I will thank you for it with my mouth and spread thighs. He calls her love. Don't bang my line, for I am deceased. He's the standard, people. The. Standard.I want to start with Riley - the invisible girl. The one ignored. The one that thought, "You tiptoe around people just to avoid upsetting them, because it's easier than admitting to yet another of your shortcomings." The problem with her is that I’ve known all along she would be trouble. I just fear I’ve miscalculated what kind she’d be.”

Oaths and Omissions is a heartfelt novel written with compassion and hope, reconciling the past to pave a road to happiness and second chances. The characters in this novel bring life and heart to this story, each with a distinct voice and personality. They made reader love them, they made reader sad, they made reader angry, they made reader laugh, they made reader cry, and they made reader believe in the promise of love and home. Later she really didn’t try that hard to clarify things and considering she was supposed to be in hiding she seemed very unconcerned regarding her own safety. Despite that, these two did have explosive chemistry together and the story was interesting enough to keep me reading though I did see the twist coming as soon as it was hinted at. Lenny Primrose is a character that has been hinted at throughout the series, her family and its history appearing in the first book briefly. She is the stereotypical golden child, who is put as the face of the family to profit off. However she is different from this, she has a darker side to her nature that should have been explored further. This sadistic side of her personality was swept over briefly when it should have been one of the main vocal points that brought her and Jonas together. While their chemistry was palpable, I wished at times (especially after their reunion) that their relationship would be less about doing it and more on a deeper emotional level.
