Black Adam is set for release on October 21, introducing the DC antihero in live-action for the first time, and Johnson has teased that it's the start of a series of movie appearances. Literally, the only thing that this suit changes from the comics is that Atom Smasher has sleeves, which makes him look more like a mix of The Atom and Atom Smasher. Embracing the path of an antihero fighting for good, his power becomes pure which results in an upgrade in his suit that is a much better representation of Black Adam from the comics. Melody's biggest inspiration came from first seeing Zack Snyder's Watchmen in 2009; the film combined with her knowledge of how scenes were done via behind-the-scenes featurettes prior to the film's release made her fall in love with filmmaking. They have a mesh outer layer, a lace up closure, are available in a range of colors and designs to choose from.
Some of them barely changed anything from what could be seen in the comics while still effectively translating them into live-action form. Now Adam looks much closer to the comics and his future rival Billy Batson (AKA Shazam), and the suit fits him perfectly when he finally sits on the throne of Kahndaq.is pulling out all the stops when it comes to introducing these characters to general audiences who might not know them. Additionally, besides the foreground dominance of Johnson’s muscle-bound head, the photo also shows a set littered with broken, ancient-looking statues, which, as he states, “gives you a tactile sense of the absolute massive scale and size of our movie” and “a glimpse of the enormous and appropriate destruction.
It has a classic shirt style collar, a front buttoned closure, and long sleeves with buttoned cuffs. From the horns to the red skin to even the glowing pentagram sprawling across his torso, Sabbac does indeed match his comic book counterpart.
Other than that, Noah Centineo's suit on Al Rothstein is a shockingly loyal adaptation of the Atom Smasher suit seen in the comics.
