About this deal
Don’t assume everyone has played the games before and they are only worth a review of a few hours per game. I'm angry Rockstar got my money for this half-assed effort, but I'll try to enjoy the games best I can.
That doesn't excuse Take Two from pushing this out, but I have seen many outlets for other consoles and PC say it's not up to snuff there.
Unlike more modern Grand Theft Auto games that rely on the phone as a hub for cheats, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas requires the player to input the code while playing the game. Almost 100% of games released nowadays receive at least one update to run as intended… so all of them should have a “[Future] Adicional download required” label on its box. Pop ins when cars/people literally pop into the game right in front of you only for you to crash into them. A lot of the problems these games have (pop in/Frame drops, ect)are also in the original PS2 versions and I loved those back in the day and still do to this day.
tekoii Yeah I spent about two pounds on the digital artbook and soundtrack and looked at them for about 5 minutes before deleting. Sure bashing cars and running over people is a good novelty for a while but the core gameplay is quite repetitive, 'Go here, kill them, come back for another similar quest.I’ve been reading of spelling errs annoying some people also (I obviously don’t can’t about punctuation or spelling but lots do and it’s understandable). There's also a description of how to input cheats, so you can make sure you're entering them correctly. Glad to hear theyve been working on this but that fact some of the mentioned issues still exist (vehicles materializing is still too close, and SA performance) is still not a good look and should not be issues on such old games, even on the Switch. I know people complain about gamers whinging but who's to say we'd even get a patch on the way if it wasn't for the loud backlash? Again, this is all stuff that should never have been a problem in the first place but, if we're to let bygones be bygones, combining these small wins with the frame rate and pacing improvements you've got an experience that is much improved over the dog's dinner we first sat down to.
