The LED lights on the device give incredible visibility so you can see what needs cleaning when tackling darker corners of your home like under sofas or behind the bed. As you can see from the chart below, the Hoover HF500 more or less holds its own in terms of suction power. On furniture (I particularly like using the dusting tool for our velvet headrest that seems to accumulate so much dust!

Overall, as you can see from the chart below, this was a decent performance from the Hoover HF500 cleaner. The HF500 Pet has a handy memory feature, which means it always starts in the setting it was on when you last turned it off, which is useful if you tend to stick to one mode. The rotating velvet roller loosens and lifts dog or cat hairs from soft surfaces, plus it can be removed for easy maintenance. It takes many of the best ideas from more expensive models and has brought them together in a compact and affordable package.
A single sweep through the mess on Turbo mode picked up most of the fur, but left some traces behind – again requiring a further few swipes to get through. The control buttons are intuitive – press the top button for on/off, then press Turbo to boost suction and Carpet to get the brush turning. Debris (like food that's fallen from the counter) as well as dust and hair are no match for this vacuum on hard floors. The HF500 has only standard and Turbo modes, so its standard suction is only a little better than the Shark model’s lightest, most economical setting.

The Hoover H-Free 500 bucks that trend; this is a compact cleaner that can be stashed easily for storage and wielded around the house with very little effort.The brush has a very flexible neck, which makes it easy to clean underneath furniture and in tight spots. but still lightweight, which makes it a good choice for anyone with limited arm strength or grip issues. This is my second one this model is the updated version, longer battery life and new anti twist floor head and light up buttons I love it. If you’re after a vacuum that you can fit easily out of the way, the Hoover H-Free 500 is by far the most powerful of the two.

Cleaning performance was mostly good, although I did find myself reaching for the Turbo option frequently to really pick up the mess, and some spills took a few swipes or more to clean up everything. Hoover states that we can forget about tangled hair thanks to an integrated comb that prevents hair wrapping around the roller during cleaning. It also comes with a greater number of tools and attachments, although it’s usually a bit more expensive, too.The suction power was great and comparable to the Shark Stratos (a vacuum that I've already mentioned and love). We found the HF500 did an excellent job on hard floors (wood and tile) as well as low-pile carpets and rugs, which accounted for 80% of the flooring vacuumed during our four-week testing period.
