His other books include Anansi Boys, Neverwhere, American Gods,and Stardust,(winner of the American Library Association's Alex Award as one of 2000's top novels for young adults) as well as the short story collections M Is for Magic and Smoke and Mirrors. For my first exposure to the series it definitely piqued my curiosity and I'll have to pick up the full set to have the full experience. He's able in this series to create multiple different "worlds" and he does so in a way that everyone of these "worlds" feels very unique but also familiar. During the time of the series they meet again more often and it's obvious that they are very important to one another, because deep down, they truly understand each other.

The Dream Hunters is an illustrated prose novella and has also been adapted into a graphic novel by P.Morpheus, the Endless and the Dreaming were some of the most memorable, most well fleshed out characters I've had the pleasure of reading in comics thus far. The sender goes on to describe his experience with the contents of the package, in a classic Sandman yarn of the mortal world brushing against the ominous realm beyond.

Published under DC’s now-defunct Vertigo, Sandman features Gaiman’s signature blend of dark, mythology-inspired fantasy. Book Summary: The title of this book is Sandman Box Set and it was written by Neil Gaiman, Sam Keith (Illustrator), J. I had no idea what to expect when I started this series, but by the end of the first book I knew I was entirely hooked.As a total collection this is an amazing story that somehow concludes by tying out perfectly with the very start of the whole thing. As to NG's Sandman - the stories are a top 10 must-have of the graphic novel, arguable a high point of the form. Unfortunately like many others, I received damaged goods and what is essentially an exact reprint of the last edition, no new cover art etc.

Some people stay away from this series due to the style of the artwork, or start reading it and get bored very soon, due to the slow pacing. Other than writing all these great characters, Neil also does an amazing job with the world building. His screenwriting credits include the original BBC TV series of Neverwhere (1996), Dave McKean’s first feature film, Mirrormask (2005), two Doctor Who episodes, and Good Omens (2019).

And while Sandman is definitely not sci-fi (at least not in a conventional way), it has many similarities with this genre. I can't say I was invested in every single story or character, but in the end, everything makes sense, and everything has its place- even if that means causing me to question reality. There are some incredible characters in these books (ever wonder how Shakespeare came up with his plays? So, it's certainly not for everyone, but if you have patience and devote a lot of time in this series, it'll reward you.
