The RGB lighting is the most aesthetically pleasing feature of Logitech X56. You can set it to match, complement, or contrast to the color of your gaming keyboard, making for a beautiful setup. Sure it's not as highly modular as some, but this is a really professional-feeling yoke. For half a grand, this is a super-premium price, but there's hardly a thing about this yoke that feels out of place. It's honestly no wonder Boeing wanted their name on it.

Take to the skies and experience the joy of flight in the next generation of Microsoft Flight Simulator, at its best on Logitech G flight equipment. Travel the world in amazing detail with over 37 thousand airports, 2 million cities, 1.5 billion buildings, real mountains, roads, trees, rivers, animals, traffic, and more. Test your piloting skills against the challenges of night flying, real-time atmospheric simulation, and live weather in a dynamic and living world. Logitech X56 has two rotary knobs on the throttle’s base that, like its dials, can be mapped to anything. However, we couldn’t find any real benefit in doing so. The key elements are there. The detachable throttle is probably the neatest feature: given that you're going to need easy access to your keyboard for its extra buttons, being able to split these components around it is a definite advantage. I am interested in buying my first HOTAS. I've been looking at second-hand and found the following (compared with retail price) If you've no experience with this type of peripheral before then it'll take some getting used to, but boy oh boy does it excel when it feels natural. It has 55 reprogrammable buttons and switches, which is an astounding amount when you consider the fact a standard controller has what, less than 20?

Logitech X56 looked and felt solid out of the box, and throughout our 400-plus hours of testing, it remained fully functional with no problems in terms of its build quality. If you want it to be a more fixed and permanent part of your setup, the X56 has holes present in bases to affix it to nearly any surface. Upgrade the VR gaming experience with the re-emerging space simulation genre and the advanced X56 HOTAS. After testing, using, and reviewing, (ok, weeks of fun gaming!) taking into consideration the most important features, we’ll make our final verdict. Who’s It For? i was interested in the logitech x56 for this game, elite dangerous and star citizen and other types of games that could use it i managed to get mine to work better in fact it doesn't do it anymore since i turned on chat on to tabs.

The second major issue is the potentiometers. Saitek has always used cheap potentiometers for its controls and that manifests itself to the user as "shaky" inputs. This can be seen on the thumb wheels and rotaries and can sometimes become so pronounced that you can't bind certain controls to them without creating problems for yourself. There is no fix, it is just cheap parts. Normally I play sound through my 2.1 full range speaker system through the PC optical out connection but being in the early hours and not wanting to wake the wife I connected my new Turtle Beach recon headset for the first time using the green and pink connections on the front of the desktop unit and had to fiddle about with the sound settings to get it to work. Previously with my old stereo headphones I just connected to the headphone output on the DAC. Alan Wake 2's minimum specs have disqualified my gaming laptop, and now I question the financial viability of PC gaming For Logitech X56, the flight training and control binding took around three hours; time well spent, and we’d recommend that new X-56 users, especially those unfamiliar with HOTAS setups in general, do the same.
