Description

Bad decisions are very often not the result of a weak or inexperienced mind, but simply a bad division of energy and time available between the decisions needed in making things happen.

Never forget that it is fundamental to human nature to use our creative powers to resolve the problems that humans encounter in the world. it’s refreshing to see a book on project management that spends as much time on human factors…This book is a candid and honest piece of work. Someone needs to define the requirements to which the project is responding, and get them approved by all interested parties. Our posters are crafted on 230gsm Archival Matte paper, boasting a bright white, reflection-free surface that beautifully showcases images and text with unparalleled clarity. A lot of people work independently and other people only get involved when you screw up or they screw up.

I think this book is great for experienced project managers, but for beginners, it's good to scan and skim at the first few times and get to understand the content within gradually. Its important to realize that this book is also an extremely valuable reference tool for the current project manager as it contains a plethora of listed questions to ask yourself dispersed throughout the various appropriate chapters. In the end, making things happen means all projects use similar processes; they all allow time to plan, implement and refine. If the requirement states “there shall be a door and it shall be green,” everyone who is going to conceive how to complete the project is going to think of different kinds of green doors. She holds degrees from the University of York and Roehampton University, and several project management certifications including APM PMQ.

If you don’t know where to start, take some advice from David Allen – one of my favourite productivity gurus – and ask yourself “What’s the very next step I need to take? Project management has a long history – everything that has been built in the world is project managed by someone. Like the broad foundation of the authors insights, this book applies to a wide range of situations, whether in developing software, running a business or any organization.
